The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the chef was mind-blowingly excellent. The dinner and breakfast were jaw-droppingly delicious, a true highlight of our stay. The hotel itself was very comfortable, with upscale bathrooms and a lovely guest sitting/reading room. The location was idyllic, and the gardens with their metal sculptures were a pleasant surprise. Perfect for a weekend escape, highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Paulo and his family. The beautiful old building was impeccably maintained with tasteful decor. Our evening meal was cooked fresh and superb, though slightly pricey. Breakfast was delicious, with generous portions. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The only downside was the delayed heating and some overpriced items. Despite that, we can't wait to return.

Fantastic dining experience at Blackaddie House. From the amuse-bouche of gazpacho and goat cheese croquettes to the exquisite fine dining menu, every dish was a delight. The quality, service, and dining environment were all top-notch. The roast onion ice cream was particularly impressive. an unforgettable culinary experience.

The location of the hotel provides a great opportunity to be in direct touch with nature, with the Dumfries & Galloway Forest Park just a short drive away. The River Suite offers a magnificent view of the River Nith, and the rooms are well decorated and spotlessly clean. The food at the hotel is top-notch, with Michelin star standard dishes prepared by Ian and his team. The attentive and friendly service from Daniel, Jane, and Ian adds to the overall excellent experience.

Some areas of the building may show signs of its age, but this only adds to its charm.

The service throughout our stay was impeccable, with our dinner being served with superb professionalism. Speaking of dinner, the chef at this place is truly excellent. The exquisite flavors and high standard of the meals made dining the highlight of our stay. The breakfast was equally impressive, with an array of choices and the best bacon we've ever tasted. The room was worth every penny, with a classic yet modern feel, and the spacious bathroom felt like a luxury in itself. The attention to detail and cleanliness in the room was exceptional. We were truly impressed by the warm welcome and attentive care from the owners and staff. It was a delightful experience from start to finish.

In terms of improvement, it would have been better if we had access to wifi in our room. Unfortunately, the staff were unable to resolve this issue, resulting in us having to tether our mobile phones to get internet access.

We enjoyed our stay at a charming country house hotel with a warm and friendly atmosphere. We loved relaxing by the fireside in the cozy lounge, or in the conservatory, enjoying the beautiful views of the river. The rooms were well-decorated and clean, with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. The service was attentive and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. It was also convenient to have good restaurants nearby, where we could enjoy a tasty meal.

Had a great stay for a business trip. the room was very comfortable, with a large bathroom and a good selection of toiletries. the bar had a nice atmosphere and a decent selection of drinks. the location was perfect for my needs, with easy access to the local businesses. Best of all, the breakfast was yummy and included a great selection of fresh fruits and pastries.

The wifi in my room was spotty and slow. Even though I mentioned it to the staff, they were not able to improve the connection.
