I recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious hotel and I must say, I was truly impressed. The location was perfect, right on the sea front with easy access to the promenade and a convenient bus service. The view from my room overlooking the sea was breathtaking, and the large car park to the rear was a great bonus. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, from the room service and housekeeping to the friendly and polite staff at the restaurant. The hotel amenities were top-notch, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay including ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, and a cozy sitting area. The hotel's terrace and garden furniture provided a lovely space to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I was thoroughly impressed by the excellent service and comfortable accommodations provided by this hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at a beautiful boutique hotel near the beach. The room was clean and had a stunning view of the sea. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The restaurant served delicious food, and we especially loved the cookie sundae. The location was perfect, close to amenities but not too crowded. We will definitely be back!

The hotel provided a lovely Christmas experience with a festive atmosphere. the staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. the delicious Christmas dinner offered a great variety of traditional dishes, and the breakfast buffet was scrumptious. the location was perfect, as it was just a short walk away from the main attractions and had a great view of the sea. the hotel offered reasonably priced refreshments, making it convenient for leisurely evenings.

The hotel had steep and narrow stairs that made it challenging to reach the rooms. However, considering the hotel's age and other positive aspects, this downside can be forgiven.

Upgraded room with a lovely sea view and very friendly and helpful staff. the food in the restaurant was outstanding and the hotel was clean and tidy.

The windows only opened 3 inches and there was no air-conditioning, which made for some uncomfortable nights during the heatwave. the walls were quite thin, so we could hear other guests and outside noise quite easily.

our stay at camelia was outstanding. having stayed in southend before, we were pleasantly surprised by the upgrades and the spacious, well-equipped room. the breakfast, especially the sunday buffet, was worth the extra cost. we would definitely choose this hotel again for a longer stay.

Stayed at Camelia for a wedding, room was immaculate, modern bathroom with a wow factor walk-in shower. Polite staff, noticed their caring nature towards an elderly lady. Great location opposite the beach, walking distance to shops. Two emergency rooms were also immaculate. Breakfast was delightful, staff offered tea, coffee, toast, etc. Hygiene surpasses many 4 or 5-star hotels abroad. Definitely happy to stay again in the future.

I had a wonderful stay at this luxurious hotel! The location is absolutely perfect, right on the seafront with stunning views overlooking the sea. The large car park at the rear of the hotel was a great convenience, making it easy to park my car. The staff provided excellent service, they were polite and attentive. The room itself was spacious, spotless, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay, including a TV and tea making facilities.

Although the hotel is slightly pricey, the overall experience was worth it. The only minor issue I encountered was the thin walls, but luckily my neighbors were quiet.
