I had a wonderful stay at this 4-star hotel in a beautiful and peaceful location. The room was comfortable and bright, and the hotel grounds were spacious and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. I appreciated the convenience of the shared kitchen and laundry facilities, as well as the free parking available onsite. The hotel provided a great base for exploring the surrounding area, with easy access to outdoor activities like cycling, canoeing, and fishing. I highly recommend this place for those looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

Amazing location with beautiful surroundings. Great options for walking or cycling to nearby attractions. the room was clean and had a nice en-suite shower. the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. a pleasant stay in a lovely setting.

The room had poor heating, and the radiator hardly worked. We had to bring in extra blankets from our car to keep warm.

The staff was very friendly and youthful. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I appreciated the hassle-free check-in process, even though I arrived early. The hotel also allowed me to safely park my motorbike in a covered area. The room I stayed in was deluxe, with an ensuite bathroom and a fantastic view. The duvet and pillows were fluffy and comfortable, and I loved the reading lamp attached to the bed. The drawing room was a nice touch, and the self-catering kitchen and dining room were clean. The bathroom was also clean and had a great shower. The location of the hotel was in a scenic area, near a river surrounded by hills, and it was a short distance from the village.

I stayed at Hartfield House for a few nights and it was a comfortable stay. The location was fantastic, nestled in a remote and peaceful area surrounded by beautiful scenery. The staff were friendly and helpful, recommending a fabulous restaurant nearby called The Walled Garden. I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded upon arrival and the room was spacious with a modern bathroom. The cleanliness of the hotel and amenities was top notch, and the shower was amazing. The staff even went above and beyond by mailing me my forgotten jacket. I would highly recommend this place to others.

Lovely location and great staff

We stayed in August and were impressed with the location of Hartfield House. The peaceful and beautiful surroundings made for a serene stay. The staff went above and beyond when we were unexpectedly flooded in due to a rare event. They were incredibly kind and considerate, even taking one of our friends to the doctor in their 4WD. We were regularly updated on driving conditions and provided with enough food and supplies. The clean modern rooms, comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen, and shared showers added to our positive experience. We would highly recommend this hostel and would love to return.
