The hostel is beautiful, well-maintained, and cozy with amazing bathrooms. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. There are common rooms to hang out and free tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. There are also cool events organized by the staff depending on guests' preferences.

Astor is a great hostel in a pleasant area. the hostel offers a choice of communal areas, including a lounge, kitchen, bar, and breakfast room. the beds are sturdy with no wobble factor and a comfortable mattress. the kitchen is big and clean with many facilities. Astor is a large, original property with lots of interesting points. Expect an exceptional experience, not a standard identikit hotel. the staff even provided an early breakfast for those participating in the York 10k race.

We loved the variety of amenities and activities offered at Astor York. The free tea and coffee all day was a great perk, and the clean washroom and beds made us feel comfortable. The location, right beside a bus stop and a short walk from the train station, was convenient for exploring the city. The staff were welcoming and the breakfast, which was donated to a local charity, was a nice touch. we had a great experience at Astor York.

We felt totally relaxed and had no complaints whatsoever during our stay.

astor definitely exceeded our expectations during our recent honeymoon trip to york. the staff was spectacular and the private room was clean and comfy. the lounge area and outdoor patio were also quite nice.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, always up for a laugh. the hostel was clean and tidy, even cleaner than some expensive hotels I've stayed in. the kitchen facilities were great, perfect for those who enjoy cooking. the lounge area was cozy and the staff could even put on a movie on the big screen if you wanted to relax and watch Netflix. the bar was a great hangout spot and the drinks were cheap. I also appreciated the free parking available, although it was limited.

The design of the hostel was a bit outdated and could use some modernization. the bunk beds were quite low, making it easy to hit your head if you're not careful.

astor york hostel was a pleasant surprise during our long weekend in york. the staff were friendly, the hotel clean, the breakfast fantastic, and the location convenient for exploring the city. it exceeded our expectations in every way.

Convenient location for exploring popular attractions and the races. Welcoming staff and good breakfast with proper tea. Comfortable rooms and well-equipped kitchen. Friendly environment and free upgrade offered during Christmas time.

The warm welcome we received was amazing! Even though we arrived early, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Our double ensuite room was fantastic - spacious, clean, and with fresh linen. the bathroom had plenty of hot water, which was a nice bonus. the on-site parking was reasonably priced, and we noticed they even had an electric car charging point. the location was great, only a 20-minute walk to the city center. we loved our stay!

The Wi-Fi in our room didn't work, so we had to go down to the lounge to use it. the parking situation was a bit difficult as we had to double park.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The common spaces were cozy and well-equipped. The location was not far from the city center and close to public transport.
