The location of the hotel was perfect, right opposite New Street Station and close to shops. The German Christmas market just outside was a fantastic bonus. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the decor in both the hotel and the room was very nice. The staff at reception were helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a good selection and the staff in the restaurant were efficient and pleasant. The size of the television in the room was great. The hotel was quiet and spacious, with attractive public rooms and a welcoming foyer. The daily room cleaning and fresh towels were appreciated. The small bottles of shower gels and shampoos, as well as the moisturizer in the public bathrooms, were a nice touch.

The hotel is in a great location with plenty of character and charm. My room was spacious, featuring beautiful marble surrounds and a comfortable bed. Despite overlooking the tram line, the noise was not noticeable. The breakfast was delicious with a good choice of cooked items and fresh fruit. I had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend the hotel to others.

The location of the hotel was ideal, just a few minutes away from the train station. We were able to easily explore the city without any hassle. This hotel has a fantastic location, just a short walk away from the train station that takes you to the NEC, and far enough away from the hustle and bustle of New Street Station. The restaurant served an incredible breakfast with friendly waitstaff who couldn't do enough for us, and the room was clean and well-equipped with all necessary amenities. The staff were also prompt in accommodating requests, and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere in the evening.

Parking was a bit of an issue.

I recently stayed at the Macdonald Burlington in Birmingham for a quick weekend getaway. The hotel is located right on the main street, surrounded by endless restaurants, shops, and bars. It's conveniently only a 2-minute walk from the "new street" train station, making it easy to get to and from the airport. The hotel itself is housed in a beautiful old classic building, which has been well-maintained. The staff were super kind and helpful throughout our stay, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The breakfast served was also delicious, offering a nice variety of options. I had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Bathroom extractor didn't work.

The breakfast at the hotel was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. the location of the hotel was ideal, with easy access to key attractions and amenities in the city.

The room we were assigned had a faulty air conditioning system, which resulted in the room being quite cold. the noise from the city center also made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

We had a fantastic time staying at this venue! The hotel is perfectly located within the city centre and we loved being just a stone's throw away from the main train station. The staff were outstanding with their service and hospitality – we felt welcomed and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious and well-equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. We found the room service, dry cleaning and housekeeping to be exceptional.

Although the bar work staff could benefit from some more training, we still enjoyed the wide selection of drinks offered at the bar. The highlight of our stay was definitely the food – it was of such a high standard!
