I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, right in the center of town with easy parking. The staff, especially the receptionist, were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to accommodate my requests. The room was spotless and had all the amenities I needed, including ironing facilities and a sitting area. The restaurant served delicious food, with the staff even serving me personally each night. The breakfast was amazing, and I enjoyed chatting with the boss during my meal. the service was top-notch, and I felt well taken care of.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, with easy access to the seaside and the Ffestiniog Steam railway. You can enjoy a beautiful day out, traveling through stunning countryside to the coast. The pub in the hotel offers fantastic food and a friendly atmosphere. The Lodge area, located next to the car park, provides convenience and easy access to your room.

The food/drink ordering system in the Stables Bar needs improvement. It can be frustrating to wait in multiple queues and encounter unhelpful staff.

The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect, right in the center of everything. I loved sitting in the conservatory with its unique plastic roof, it was such a cozy and enjoyable spot. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The staff provided excellent service and the breakfast options were delicious. The hotel was also conveniently located near the train station.

I had a fantastic 4-night stay at Royal Oak. The hotel was beautifully designed, with spacious and comfortable rooms that were impeccably clean. The food was exceptional, particularly the breakfasts which were the best I've had in any hotel. The staff were friendly, efficient, and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. Special thanks to Hazel, the chef, for accommodating my son's dietary needs. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay at a lovely hotel in a great location. The reception staff were welcoming and the room in the Lodge was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a wonderful walk-in shower. We had a delicious meal at the Grill Room restaurant and the service was efficient. we had a wonderful time and would recommend this hotel to others.

We had a fantastic stay at a centrally located hotel with great accommodation and dining options. The rooms were modern, well-equipped, and comfortable. The Stables bar was a highlight, with delicious food, local beers, and even live music from a Welsh male voice choir! The breakfast was also excellent, offering a wide variety of cold foods. The location was perfect for exploring the town and there were lovely shops and walks nearby. The hotel even offered a packed lunch for those wanting to start their day early to climb Snowdon. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and the parking was convenient and free for guests. Despite a few minor issues like slight mould in the bath and a damp-smelling wardrobe, our overall experience was wonderful. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a restful and enjoyable break.

The lack of sufficient staff was noticeable, resulting in longer waits at the bar and reception. the rooms were quite warm and there was no air conditioning available, making it sometimes uncomfortable.

our valentine's day stay in betws-y-coed was delightful, but royal oak truly exceeded all expectations. the village was quaint and the hotel's location was perfect for exploring local attractions. the rooms were clean, cozy, and the staff was friendly and helpful. we especially loved the stables bar and the delicious food at the grill restaurant.

I gotta say, staying at this hotel was definitely worth the money. The room was well-equipped and comfortable, with everything I needed from a good ol' cup of tea to a handy hairdryer. Plus, the location was absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery and a charming village. The staff were so lovely and you could tell they really put effort into making your stay top-notch. I'd totally come back here, no doubt about it!

Now, when it comes to the hotel breakfast menu, I do have one small suggestion. They could've made it a bit more exciting by adding some vegetarian options.
