our anniversary stay at this hidden gem was absolutely delightful. from the warm welcome with tea and homemade tarts to the cozy bedroom and comfy beds, everything exceeded our expectations. the hosts, bob & heather, were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel like family. we couldn't have asked for a better experience. highly recommended!

What a warm and welcoming stay I had at Sportsmans Lodge! The owners truly embody the spirit of hospitality, going above and beyond to make me feel at home. From offering me a hot drink every time I returned from my adventures to providing me with a flask for my outings, their thoughtfulness and attention to detail were unmatched. The comfortable bed and cozy guest lounge added to the overall charm of the B&B. Their local knowledge and helpful suggestions made my trip even more memorable. The guide book and map they lent me were invaluable in exploring the area. I couldn't have asked for a friendlier and more attentive experience.

I struggled to find anything I didn't like, but if I had to mention a downside, it would be the lack of rugs on the laminate bedroom floor. However, I understand the practicality behind it and it wasn't a major issue.

The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide selection. The location was convenient for exploring the island and getting to the ferry terminal and nearby village pub.

The delicious breakfasts, made with free-range eggs from the owner's chickens, are a delightful start to the day. One can also enjoy a lovely view while relaxing in the sumptuous guest lounge.

Not only were there wonderful beaches nearby, but there was also a charming pub in a nearby village. Lastly, I have to mention the breakfast. It was served with great care and included a wide variety of options. All in all, this hotel offered incredible value for money and provided a delightful stay.

We can't wait to book again!

I had the most wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast. the hosts, Heather and Bob, were incredibly accommodating and friendly. They made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived, offering me a much-needed pot of tea and coffee. the room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and it was restocked with supplies and cleaned daily. Heather and Bob were also full of knowledge about the island of Anglesey, which was very helpful for planning day trips.

Located in a beautiful spot with views of the Snowdonia mountains, this cozy bed and breakfast has two standout features. the first is the warm hospitality of the hosts, who are always willing to go the extra mile for their guests, as we found when we arrived late and bedraggled after snowboarding. the second is the extensive breakfast spread, featuring locally sourced produce and cooked to order. Additional pluses include the comfortable beds and the peaceful location that makes it an ideal escape from the busy city.

Concerns for the environment are commendable, but the provision of half-used toiletries felt more disconcerting than hygienic. A separate note explaining their purpose would have helped alleviate our unease.
