Absolutely loved our stay at Base Vegan Retreat! Such a relaxed atmosphere with animals in the garden, including rescued rabbits and hens. The hot tub was a highlight, even in the rain. The unique space had excellent facilities and the hosts, Fiaz and Jacqui, were amazing. Shops nearby and a convenient bus to town. 100% recommend staying here!

The hosts were welcoming and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. we had a relaxing and rejuvenating time and would highly recommend this hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the hotel facilities were top-notch. The location in the lovely gardens was absolutely beautiful, with stunning views over the valley. It was also conveniently located close to shops and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. The tranquility of the quiet neighborhood and the presence of wildlife added to the charm of this place.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The hand-built log cabin is filled with charming details and feels like a home away from home. The kitchen is well-equipped and easy to use, and the large smart TV with an attached Xbox 360, chromecast, and smart connect for mobiles provides plenty of entertainment options. The friendly chickens and rabbits in the garden add to the delightful atmosphere and guests are even allowed to feed them. The location is also convenient, being only 20 minutes away from shopping in Bath.

The accommodations were well-decorated and had thoughtful touches, like plenty of power sockets and a porch swing. The breakfast was delicious, with options like sausage sandwiches and fresh smoothies. The staff were friendly and accommodating, bringing the food to our room at a convenient time. Plus, the upgrade to a spacious suite was a pleasant surprise, allowing for privacy during our romantic escape.

The price of the stay was on the higher side, but understandable considering the costs of maintaining such a unique retreat. Additionally, there was an issue with the sink in the bathroom not draining properly, and we had difficulty figuring out how to turn off the outside lights.

Large lodge with separate double bedrooms, spacious kitchen, and cozy sitting area. Underfloor heating kept me warm even during bad weather. Self check-in was easy, and communication was great. Beautifully decorated with home comforts. Great location with nearby walks and places to eat. Best experience so far.

the wooden retreat felt like a hidden ski chalet in a lovely garden, with great transport links to town and leisure facilities nearby. The hot tub, vegan treats, and games provided made for a perfect anniversary getaway.

We stayed at the Base Vegan Retreat Animal Sanctuary for our 10th year anniversary and it was perfect. The location was ideal, close to both Bath and Bristol, and the surrounding garden felt like a magical oasis. Our daughter loved playing with the bunnies, and the lights and decorations made us feel special. Jacqui & Fiaz were exceptional hosts, and the hot tub was incredibly relaxing. We appreciated the welcome bucket of prosecco and enjoyed watching the rabbits and chickens while having breakfast. The cabin had everything we needed and truly felt like a home away from home. We can't wait to come back!

Couldn’t of asked for a better valentines!

My partner and I recently stayed at a lovely retreat in Bristol for Valentine's Day. The chalet we stayed in was absolutely amazing - spacious, beautifully decorated, and the lighting created a stunning ambiance. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub experience, complete with complementary prosecco and homemade nibbles. It was such a scrumptious and thoughtful touch! Oh, and I can't forget to mention the adorable rabbits in the garden - they made our stay even more special. The chalet even had a TV with an Xbox for entertainment. We had such an incredible time that we're already planning to return! Thank you to everyone at the retreat for making our Valentine's Day unforgettable.
