We had an incredible stay at this hotel. It is in a beautiful elevated position, offering stunning views. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the main hotel areas were well-appointed. The hotel is in the heart of the highlands whisky country, right along the famous Spey River and in the center of this city, making it a perfect location for exploring the Speyside distilleries. The breakfast provided was delicious, and the hotel facilities were top-notch.

Can't fault the property in any way.

During my stay at The Dowans, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality and personal touch from the family-run establishment. The rooms were beautifully renovated, offering a cozy retreat after a day of exploring numerous distilleries in the area. The restaurant served delicious meals and boasted an impressive whisky collection. I particularly enjoyed sipping on a wee dram in the whisky room, while taking in the surrounding beauty. The breathtaking views added to the overall charm of this hidden gem. Although the room was a bit small, it had everything I needed. I highly recommend The Dowans for a memorable stay in Speyside whisky country.

The hotel is located on top of a hill with a lovely view of the surrounding hills. The rooms are comfortable with modern bathrooms. The staff is pleasant and helpful, going above and beyond to provide a fantastic stay. Breakfast is served and there is a well-appointed bar with excellent drinks. The hotel is situated in a good location, close to many distilleries for a whisky tour.

The seating arrangement during dinner can sometimes be uncomfortable with tables placed too close to one another.
