I had a truly idyllic stay at this charming hotel. The atmosphere and surroundings were beautiful, with flourishing gardens and a tranquil waterfall. The outdoor patio had romantic lighting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The room was lovely and the bed incredibly comfortable. It was a peaceful and quiet retreat, exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend this hotel.

Historic 3-storey gem with antique furnishings. Comfy beds & clawfoot bath. Lovely garden, welcoming owner, & friendly atmosphere. No TVs, but relaxing ambiance. Close to Columbia River Gorge & Hood River Valley attractions. Gluten-free muffins & delicious breakfast.

I recently stayed at a charming inn that provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm, homemade chocolate chip cookies. The lobby, with its turn of the century decor, transported me back in time.

The hotel was clean and had great facilities. The parking was convenient and the location was idyllic in a beautiful small valley. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Wow! We enjoyed the beautiful building and grounds at this historic hotel. It was really clean and well cared for. the staff were also very accommodating and friendly. Plus, the location in the middle of a small town was really convenient. We also appreciated the fact that there were no pets allowed, making it a peaceful and tranquil environment.

We were disappointed with a few aspects of our stay. the bed linens seemed tired and didn't feel very clean.

Breakfast options included cereal, yogurt, fruit, and coffee. Spa and pool area was well-maintained. Communal areas were enjoyable for a drink. Beautiful building in a small town setting. Rooms were spacious and clean.

The Balch Hotel is a magical oasis with beautifully designed, historic charm. The grounds are gorgeous with plenty of shade and outdoor seating. The staff was very accommodating and the homemade breakfast was delicious. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, with a surprising amount of space for a historic hotel.

This hotel is definitely worth a visit! The location in a remote area is beautiful, with a shady garden and a stunning view of Mount Hood. The staff are friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The rooms are cozy and clean, with all basic amenities available, including air conditioning. The provided breakfast is included in the room rate and is well-prepared.
