During my transit through Bar Harbor, I stayed at Bar Harbor Motel for its convenient proximity to Acadia National Park and the village shops. The free shuttle service to area attractions was a major convenience, allowing easy access to explore the beautiful surroundings without worrying about transportation. the provided facilities, such as the seasonal outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi access, added a touch of comfort to my short stay.

My experience at Bar Harbor Motel was slightly marred by a less-than-ideal interaction with the receptionist. Despite being tired from travel, the receptionist's attitude towards a couple voicing their room location concerns was off-putting.

The room was VERY spacious and was the perfect size for our family. The beds are large and comfortable, and the 100-year-old library adds a touch of charm to the atmosphere.

One small inconvenience was the issue with the breakfast service. On our last day, the "GRAB AND GO" breakfast was not available early enough, and the staff's response was a bit rude.

The variety of wildlife and stunning landscapes on the Nature Cruise made it an unforgettable experience. The kids were thrilled to see puffins up close and witness eagles, ospreys, and seals in their natural habitat. The free shuttle from the hotel to downtown made it easy to explore the shops, museums, and delicious local cuisine.

My wife says that it would be great if the motel provided more kid-friendly options for breakfast, such as pancakes or waffles.

Norm at the front desk was the best! He helped us book a Natur Cruise and changed the time when needed. The motel felt like a resort with activities for kids and families. Easy access to town and a free shuttle right at the entrance. The rooms felt like cabins in the woods. Trails into Acadia National Park right from the property.

We had a perfect escape at this cozy motel! The bed was really comfortable and the sheets smelled of fresh laundry. The room was also very clean and smelled fresh. The location was superb near the main attractions, and we enjoyed walking around the vibrant neighborhood. To top it off, the lovely complimentary breakfast served us with delicious pastries and fresh coffee.

We found it challenging to adjust the room's temperature. The heat was either too hot or too cold, and we had to manually regulate it continuously.

The motel had a cozy and homey layout, with separate units and parking spaces surrounded by trees. The room was spotlessly clean, and I was welcomed with adorable lobster-shaped towel folds on the bed. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with a variety of fresh fruits and an attentive staff always keeping the area clean.

The noisy air conditioner/heater in the room, which kept my partner up at night. In order for him to sleep, we had to turn off the heater, which made me a bit cold.

We stayed at the motel for one night during our visit to Acadia National Park. The location was perfect, just a short drive from the park entrance and a manageable walk to downtown. The family room provided ample space and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job. We were impressed by the breakfast staff who had labels for every item on the buffet, making it easy for my son with food allergies to choose what he could eat. Well-kept property with outdoor seating. Varied breakfast, including fruit, cereals, pastries, and beverages. Fun activities for kids, like swings and animal tracking. Comfy beds and fluffy linens. Friendly and helpful staff.

The breathtaking nature cruises provided an unforgettable experience. We sailed through the only natural fjord in the Northeast, spotting eagles and ospreys with the ease of a hawk eye. It felt like winning a special safari jackpot.

A bit basic and a bit expensive.

Enjoyed the unique park-like setting and the great base it provided to explore Acadia. Also loved the breakfast, although I had to fight off the oversleeping guests for a seat.

Couldn't find a flaw even if I tried. Oh wait, maybe the lack of a personal butler?
