Just a solid selection for a day tour in Gonzales with incredible value for money. Dennis had a room ready for us within an hour and added freshly baked cookies, which were a nice touch after a long drive. Consider asking about the history of the place. it's pretty fascinating and makes the stay even more enjoyable!

But I had to giggle the toilet handle to stop it from flowing, and convincing the owners to open the pool was a bit of a task. Still, the charm of the place shined through!

My experience was marred by several maintenance issues that shouldn't have been overlooked. The bathroom had a leaky faucet, and oddly, I had to fiddle with the toilet handle to make it stop running. Additionally, the layout of the room wasn't ideal, making it feel cramped and less inviting. It was frustrating to also have to plead for access to the pool, which should be readily available for guests to enjoy.

I stayed in the Queen Room, and it had a cozy vibe with nice old furnishings. The bed was pretty comfy! It was cool and quiet, perfect for a good night's sleep. The ghostly stories from other guests added to the charm, making it feel like you were part of something special. Just wish the room felt a bit fresher and newer. Still, a neat place to unwind!
