We had a wonderful stay at a charming motel with a real 50's vibe. The owner, Trudy, made us feel right at home with her warm hospitality and helpful recommendations. During our Christmas stay at this motel, we were pleasantly surprised by the traditional feel and inexpensive rates. the rooms were small but clean, reminding us of the days of quaint travel and stopping at small motels. We enjoyed sitting outside and chatting with other guests, which was a nice change from the sterile atmosphere of chain hotels. the room darkening drapes added to the cozy ambiance, allowing us to get a good night's sleep. the friendly and helpful desk clerk made us feel welcome, and the price was well below what other motels in town were charging. Plus, the motel had a mom-and-pop vibe, making it feel personal and unique.

Although we had a great experience overall, there were a few minor drawbacks. the air conditioner in our room didn't work very well, and the shower was on the smaller side.

The room was super clean and quiet, which made for a comfortable stay. the bed was really comfortable and the pillows were better than what I've experienced at other motels. Additionally, the location was great, with easy access to downtown and walking distance to restaurants. It was the perfect spot to stretch our legs after a long day of driving.

The only downside was that the light outside our door couldn't be turned off, making the room feel a bit bright at night. It would have been nice to have the option to dim the lights for a more restful sleep.
