Cozy hideaway in the woods

This place is a gem! Surrounded by redwoods, our room was huge and comfy. The balcony view was amazing, and I loved the music on the weekends. The staff was super friendly, and there's a little market for quick snacks. The diner could be open more often, though— it was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We loved the location of this place, surrounded by lush trees and nature, and close to a local winery. The staff were genuinely helpful and courteous throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, with updated bathrooms, and comfortable beds. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio, admiring the beautiful garden furniture.

We got great value for our money with a free upgrade to a suite with a balcony. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The location among the beautiful trees was stunning, and the staff treated us with exceptional kindness and hospitality.

One thing that could make the morning meal better would be to have a wider variety of options for breakfast.

During my family's spring break trip from Wisconsin to California, we stumbled upon a so-so lodge located in an area where drug deals were being made. We were disappointed that some areas were closed off due to poor hygiene, such as the stream, which was one of the main attractions for us. Although the room had a mini-fridge and clean bedding, the bathroom was not up to par, and the air conditioner was noisy. On a positive note, the convenient store was well-stocked, and there was a lobby bar nearby.

Our safety was also a concern during our stay due to the thin ceilings and walls that allowed us to hear loud noises from other patrons crashing about.

We got great value for our money at this hotel. The room was updated and comfortable, and the location amidst the beautiful redwoods was breathtaking. The staff treated us with impeccable friendliness and even gave us cookies at check-in!

The morning meal could have been better with more variety or options.

I had a fantastic 2-night stay at the Historic Brookdale Lodge. The recently refurbished rooms were lovely, with a massive king-sized bed that was incredibly comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and the smell of pine throughout the hotel was amazing. The location was beautiful, surrounded by stunning redwoods, and the nearby town of Boulder Creek was really interesting to explore. it was a delightful and enjoyable experience.

I strongly recommend this hotel.

As young holiday goers, we loved the private tour and hearing the staff's paranormal stories. The location surrounded by redwood trees was beautiful.

The bathrooms were spacious and had plenty of room for cosmetics. The convenience store on-site was a great bonus for snacks and last-minute items. The hotel's location amidst the redwoods was truly stunning, and we loved having access to the back area with rocks. It was also convenient to have breakfast options available on-site, as there were no other options nearby. The staff were friendly and the overall atmosphere felt like staying in a treehouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again.

I recently had a great mini vacation at this hotel in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The location was perfect for exploring areas like Ben Lomond and Boulder Creek. The surrounding town was small but refreshing, offering lots of things to do. The staff were friendly and the recently refurbished rooms had modern decor and fixtures, giving the hotel a beautiful and eclectic atmosphere. The attention to detail, such as the Fireside room and the breakfast included in the price, which even had a brunch option, were great additions that made the stay even more enjoyable.
