Impressive room layout. The jet bath was a luxury. The stay recommendation was misleading—mandatory two nights confirmed on the app but not specified. Breakfast had good options but felt overpriced. Service was courteous. Proximity to the ocean? A dream. Falling asleep to waves was magical. Fantastic staff, especially Vicki, who made us feel welcomed by name. the hotel’s condition needs attention. Plumbing issues and outdated facilities detracted from our experience. The refrigerator underperformed, and the bed was uncomfortably hard. WiFi access was inconsistent. There was a frustrating encounter with management regarding a refund for our second night. I won’t return.

Great beachfront location. Loved the balcony room with an amazing view. The heated pool was awesome and I enjoyed the hot tub. Room was clean and had everything: air conditioning, microwave, and flat-screen TV. On-site restaurant had fantastic food and friendly staff.

The hotel is just a few steps from the boardwalk and beach access, making it an ideal spot for morning walks while soaking in beautiful sunrises and watching dolphins from your balcony; plus, you're surrounded by fantastic dining options; Sea Salt Grill is right downstairs and has delicious food, while other amazing restaurants like 21st Street Grill and Hemingway's are within a quick walk. The indoor pool offers a lovely retreat after a day by the beach, while nearby attractions like the Virginia Beach Surf & Rescue Museum and the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum are less than a mile away, perfect for a leisurely stroll. The front desk staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, making your stay feel like a home away from home, but the hotel does need a bit of maintenance to enhance the overall experience.

The staff was super welcoming and made us feel right at home! Our spacious room was cozy and perfect for our family of five. Plus, the indoor pool and beachfront access made our stay extra special!

So, my recent stay at the Capes was a bit of a mixed bag. The room was pretty spacious, which was a plus, and the location was fantastic - super convenient for exploring the area. The jacuzzi was a nice touch, and the room was clean, so no complaints there. there were definitely some downsides. The bathroom was on the smaller side and quite outdated. The heating and air conditioning system seemed a bit wonky; it was hard to control the temperature just right, and it often got too cold. the lack of grab bars and towel bars in the bathroom was a bit inconvenient. On the bright side, the staff was always friendly and helpful, which was a big plus. The restaurant on-site was a standout - great food and fantastic service, especially during the busy Memorial Day weekend. The kitchen sink counter area was also a handy feature. But, there were issues with the overall maintenance of the property. The beds were uncomfortable, with a thin mattress on a metal platform that made sleeping quite a challenge. The room wasn't as up to par as I had hoped, with broken ironing board and hairdryer, which I had to report at the front desk. there were cleanliness issues like a thick layer of dust and grime on the baseboards and trim, as well as dirty bathroom grout. The front desk experience during check-out was also a bit frustrating, with key card deactivation before the agreed time. my stay had its ups and downs.

Capes Hotel offers an unbeatable spot just steps from the beach, making it perfect for sun lovers. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. While the rooms could use some updating, their cleanliness and the beautiful balcony views enhance the overall experience, ensuring a pleasant stay.

The room had a great beach view and spacious layout, but the bathroom was tiny and awkward. Temperature control was imbalanced; the AC blasted one bed while leaving the other warm. The beds were hard, lacking any pillow top comfort, which made for an uncomfortable sleep. The staff were amazing, remembering our names and welcoming us daily. Noise from neighbors was disruptive at times, and elevator access was slow. Parking was tricky, especially with a full-sized pickup.

The beds are comfy and the rooms are clean with great water pressure. They have a nice pool that the kids loved and a cafe with tasty burgers.

It was a bit pricey, but worth it for the comfort and service.
