The location is convenient, situated in a business district close to the attractions I wanted to visit and near the elevated Amtrak rail line. I recently stayed at a hotel close to the railroad tracks but surprisingly, the noise level was not an issue at all. Despite being next to the Amtrak station, there were very few trains passing by during the night, allowing for a peaceful and uninterrupted sleep. The hotel's location was convenient for me as I was attending an event just down the street.

The location of the hotel is a bit concerning, as it is close to the elevated Amtrak rail line and right next to railroad tracks. However, the noise from the trains at night was not too disruptive, allowing for a decent night's sleep. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with necessary amenities such as a microwave and refrigerator. The service provided by the staff was friendly and helpful, resolving any issues promptly. Additionally, the breakfast options offered a variety of choices to start the day.

The renovations in the room were poorly done, with debris and dust in the heat/ac unit, and sloppy remodeling that left mud and paint drops on doors and trim. The lack of attention to detail was evident in the uncaulked new glass door shower, which leaked onto the bathroom floor.

We recently stayed at a hotel in Alton during our Christmas vacation and had a fairly decent experience. the location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to major highways. Additionally, the room was clean and tidy, which made our stay comfortable. Another advantage was the breakfast provided, which offered a decent variety of options to start our day.

There were a couple of negative aspects to our stay. the train tracks near the hotel resulted in occasional rumbling noises that could be bothersome to some guests.

As youngsters, we absolutely loved the pool and the friendly staff. The breakfast was also a hit!

As young families, we loved the delicious and hot breakfast with the addition of biscuits and gravy and bacon strips. The location was perfect for attending a wedding at the Pere Marquette Lodge. The drive along the river road was breathtaking.
