Comfortable room, friendly staff, the hotel was conveniently located just 55 km from Asheville Regional Airport and provided clean accommodations with a lovely indoor swimming pool and a simple, filling breakfast.

Zero issues.

The hotel’s exterior definitely shows age, with worn and torn areas that could use some TLC. The hallways and elevator were quite dirty, filled with debris and trash, which didn't make for a pleasant atmosphere. It’s a bit of a gamble whether you'll get your room ready on time. I overheard guests frustrated with late check-ins or room changes, and the pedestrian access around the area is pretty dicey, so walking anywhere isn't the best idea. There seems to be room for improvement in cleanliness, especially outside of the guest rooms.

The carpeting in the hallways was worn out and needed some freshening up, and there were instances of hidden fees, such as mandatory charges for the in-room safe, which felt a bit deceiving. Moreover, check-in was not as efficient as expected, with some guests experiencing delays when arriving.

Despite some noise from nearby trucks, the room was cozy, the view was lovely, and the staff were friendly. A good stopover on my journey! 😊

the comfort inn had free wifi which was a nice touch. the outdoor pool was inviting, although we didn't get to use it. i appreciated the helpful service from the staff. it's conveniently located for a vehicle cruise, making it easy to explore local sites.

Consider arriving during daylight to easily navigate the entrance, which requires passing through a neighboring business's parking lot. It's a bit tricky at night.

the water pressure in the shower was so low it woudl ve been faster to wash in a pond. and of course, they're '100% smoke free'—lies! my room reeked of smoke, but no one bothered to do a thing. honestly, a complimentary upgrade for such inconveniences would have been nice, but guess that's not their style.

What I appreciated most was the exceptional service from Jodie and Kim at the front desk. Kim worked a double shift and remained upbeat, offering valuable local insights. The room was clean and comfortable, providing a pleasant stay overall. 😃

I stayed in the King Room, Disability Access and it was pretty comfy! The bed was super cozy, and even though the AC was just a small unit, it managed to keep the room cool. The room was clean, and housekeeping came daily to take out trash and swap out towels. There were a lot of food options nearby, which was a plus!

i found this hotel to be a great base for my weekend adventures, as it’s only about 2.5 km from both the beautiful historic carson house and the stunning views at morgan lake, making it so easy to enjoy some serene walks and explore local history.

This was just a perfect match for a transient visit in Marion with all in all brilliant value for money. The desk clerk was friendly and courteous, making check-in quite smooth. Try to arrive early to avoid waiting in crowded breakfast areas.
