During my recent stay at Elk Horn Lodge, I was delighted by the warm hospitality from the owners, Lisa and Jeff. The accommodations were impeccably clean, featuring a comfortable bed and ample lighting, making it a joy to read and relax. Their enthusiasm for the area shone through as they provided helpful recommendations for dining and local attractions. It truly felt like a home away from home.

The bathroom was a bit small.

Elk Horn Lodge felt like a hidden treasure! The attention to detail from Jeff was remarkable, especially with the cozy Deluxe Queen Room that was perfectly clean and bright. We loved the special touches, like the fridge with a freezer that made our stay even more comfortable!

Cold drinks from the fridge were a lifesaver!

The room was very clean and had a cozy gas fireplace, making it comfortable. The bathroom was quite small, which may be a challenge for taller guests.

Elk Horn Lodge is a sparkling gem just 4 miles from the Northeast entrance to Yellowstone! The Deluxe Queen Room was immaculate and offered fantastic lighting for late-night reading. I absolutely loved the thoughtful addition of a fridge with a freezer, perfect for keeping snacks fresh!

The place was clean and cozy, perfect after our hikes. We checked out the beautiful trails nearby and even did some trout fishing. Be sure to enjoy the hot tub after a long day. Staff was super friendly, making our visit even better.

Only downside was that the motel doesn’t serve breakfast, so you’ll need to find options in town. It didn’t really bother us, but it’s good to know ahead of time.

We had a fantastic time exploring the rivers around Cooke City, especially with my two teenagers! The fishing for trout was a hit, and Jeff, the owner, was super helpful. The place was immaculate and offered stunning views of the mountains.

My wife says that more nearby dining options would be great.

Our stay in the Deluxe Queen Room was really nice! The room was super clean, and the bed was comfy. Loved the little details, like the signs that were just enough to help without being annoying. The only hiccup was getting a first-floor room we couldn’t switch out of, but it was still cozy. One downside? The towels could definitely use an upgrade. they were a bit worn. Overall, I’d totally come back!

We had a wonderful welcome at check-in and the hot water was fantastic, but the Wi-Fi was slow. Definitely planning to stay again!
