I appreciated the refrigerator and microwave for convenience. the heater was quite loud and interrupted our sleep. The water controls in the bathroom were inconvenient, requiring you to stand up to adjust them. The toilet was too low for comfort, especially for older guests. While the staff was generally friendly, my interaction with the manager fell short. Despite some issues, the location was ideal for events and restaurants.

Der Ruhe Blatz Motel in Shipshewana was an affordable choice with friendly staff and a perfect location near our concert. The one-story layout made it easy to access our room, and the hot breakfast options, including delicious waffles, were a nice touch for our family getaway with our dog.

I had a wonderful time at this small hotel, as it was just a short stroll away from all the vibrant attractions in Shipshewana, with places like the Hostetler's Hudson Auto Museum just under a kilometer away and several shopping spots like Yoder's Shopping Center being within a manageable 1.5 kilometers; not to mention that the friendly staff made my stay even better, as they were always there to assist and made sure I felt welcomed, with clean rooms that included useful amenities like a fridge and microwave for added convenience, but the beds could use a little comfort upgrade for a more restful sleep.

The room was filthy, the carpet so dirty my socks turned black. Plus, the noise from trucks starting at 5 AM ruined any chance of a good night's sleep.

The breakfast was lovely, with hot and cold selections, including juice, tea, and coffee. I especially enjoyed making waffles every day. The front office personnel were awesome, always ready to answer any questions we had. The location was fantastic, being next door to a popular RV park and just a mile away from an enormous flea market, which we absolutely loved exploring. This was our fifth visit to the area, and we truly enjoyed the unique atmosphere and local attractions.

The room was freezing when we arrived on a cold weekend, as the heat was not turned on beforehand. Although it eventually warmed up, it would have been more welcoming to have a cozy room waiting for us.
