I recently stayed at Essex Street Inn & Suites and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a great area, close to shops, restaurants, and the harbor, making it convenient for exploring. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, with a big, cozy bed. The interior of the hotel is beautifully designed, with a charming and unique atmosphere. I loved the kitchenette in the deluxe room, equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The continental breakfast served in the lobby was delicious, with a great selection of yogurts, fresh fruit, and newspapers. it was a delightful stay and I look forward to returning.

We had a fantastic stay at a very elegant inn in Newburyport. Essex Street Inn & Suites, Ascend Hotel Collection exceeded our expectations in every way. The inn was spotlessly clean and had all the comforts we needed. The mini split units provided both heat and AC, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. The location was perfect, within walking distance to all the restaurants and waterfront. The staff was friendly and the European style breakfast was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

Noise from adjoining rooms, traffic, and loud plumbing made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Outside light coming into the room was not properly blocked, needing the use of a towel to fix the issue.

The complimentary room upgrade was unexpected and we appreciated it very much. the location was very convenient to all the activities that we had planned, making our stay even more enjoyable. On top of that, the staff made our experience very personable and welcoming.

While the staff was great, the decor of the room felt outdated and could use some updating. the air conditioning struggled to keep up with the heat outside which made our stay a little uncomfortable.
