The hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of the charming downtown area, yet in a quiet spot. The rooms are nicely decorated with beautiful old furniture and have a nice extra comfy touch. The breakfast menu includes vegan options like toast and coffee, and brown rice, with great tasting coffee.

No negative aspects to mention, everything was ok.

The Garden Street Inn is a charming and vintage hotel located in downtown SLO with a great location. The room with the gas fireplace was a nice touch, but unfortunately, it was broken and couldn't be fixed during my stay. Despite this, the staff was friendly and helpful in finding a solution. I would recommend this hotel for its cozy atmosphere and convenient location.

We loved staying here! The hotel is in the very cute downtown and in a quiet area despite being in the middle of town. The service is great and the staff is super friendly. Our room had heating and air conditioning and a patio with garden furniture. Everything was super clean and free toiletries were provided. We also enjoyed the flat-screen tv and the board games.

The location is unbeatable. The hotel is in a college town and so close to downtown, everything in SLO is within walking distance. From art galleries and museums to restaurants and shopping, guests have so many fun things to do nearby. The rooms are comfy, the bathroom is basic but adequate, and the staff are lovely. Plus, breakfast is included with healthy, fresh options. There is a small store that sells everything from snacks to hot drinks.

The hotel lacks black-out drapes, so light can be an issue for some guests.

I recently stayed at Garden Street Inn for a weekend getaway. The cozy and comfortable inn provided excellent service, with friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The rooms were immaculately clean and the breakfast, personally prepared by a skilled chef, was absolutely delicious. We especially enjoyed the cozy "living room" area with its comfortable armchairs and gas fireplace. The location was fantastic, just a short walk away from all the interesting parts of town, making it the perfect base for exploring.

We had a weekend getaway in a historic hotel. the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. the room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. I also loved the complimentary cookies left on our door each night. the location was perfect for exploring the area and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. the breakfast was tasty and filling.

The hotel lacked elevators, and there was no one to help us with our luggage. the antique furnishings did not match some newer fixtures.

Superb location in the heart of downtown. Mind-blowing, historic property with jaw-dropping decor. Friendly and helpful front desk. Room was incredibly clean, with comfortable bed and nice TV. Big shower/tub and fantastic breakfast. Great amenities like wi-fi, luggage storage, flat-screen TV, board games. No pets allowed and non-smoking rooms. Air conditioning kept the room cool.
