Excellent front house staff and valets. Superb location in historic area, walking distance to major sights. Clean and impressively decorated lobby. Charming room with fast wifi, balcony view over cathedral. Major upgrade in accommodations compared to other hotels. Very helpful and friendly overall.

Room was super cozy with great river view and yummy breakfast. Location is awesome near all the action in town. Quick room service meal and friendly valet. Relaxing by the pool with a good book was fantastic, and enjoying the spa amenities was a nice treat. Only bummer was the loud pool area maintenance, but it didn’t ruin the overall chill vibe of the stay. 😊

As a frequent traveler, I often find myself in need of a comfortable and convenient place to stay during transit. The DeSoto of Savannah provided the perfect solution, situated just 20 km from Savannah/Hilton Head International. The spacious rooms with king or double beds and a spacious work desk offered the ultimate comfort for a short stay, and the exclusive agreement with JSAV for A/V services added a touch of convenience for business needs.

During my brief stay at The DeSoto, I found that the coffee bar had limited options, which was a minor inconvenience. However, this was a small drawback considering the overall comfort and convenience provided by the hotel.

i had a lovely time staying at the DeSoto. the staff was so welcoming, and they even upgraded my room to a beautiful corner king with a big balcony. the pool area was clean and refreshing, and the location was perfect for exploring. the room was immaculate, and the bed was comfy with extra firm pillows. i appreciated the excellent water pressure in the shower and the plentiful amenities provided.

The location was great and so was the view. Hotel attractively renovated with generally nice staff. Despite this, the main entry was beautiful, and the staff delightful. The amenities and location were perfect, with a balcony offering a nice touch. The room cleanliness and lack of certain amenities were drawbacks, although the relaxation facilities like the spa and swimming pool enhanced our stay. Nearby landmarks such as Forsyth Park and River Street Savannah provided excellent opportunities for family bonding and exploration.

I absolutely adored the elegant decoration of the hotel, from the original crystal chandeliers to the museum-worthy contemporary art. The gracious social center was beautifully decorated, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for senior guests. The thoughtful juxtaposition between history and modern-day style was truly delightful, and the accessibility for senior people was top-notch, making it easy to navigate and enjoy all the hotel had to offer.

I would have appreciated smoother interactions with the children of the staff to ensure a better vacation experience for senior people.

Found a great spot for exploring art, history, and dining. Delicious farm-to-table meals, lively atmosphere, and cool art gallery in-house. Easy access to iconic sites and a charming city vibe. Loved the mix of history and modern style. Rooftop pool bar was a highlight for relaxing with a cocktail. Bonus: They make info accessible to everyone, which is awesome. Can't wait to plan my next dive trip here for more fun adventures!

From the guava jam to Southern specialties, dining at The DeSoto was a tastebud tango. The poolside snack bar and cozy lounge area added to the culinary delight. Valets were stars too!

Got cozy in an elevator hiccup, felt the TP hoard, and had a towel tap dance. Temp hiccup and coffee pot hide-and-seek weren't ideal.

The staff at this hotel were incredible! They were always friendly, accommodating, and very professional. They provided excellent service, were knowledgeable about the area, and willing to assist promptly. the restaurant had great food; we had a fantastic dinner there. Our Christmas Day Brunch was an absolute delight. the location was superb - central to all activities, allowing us to explore the city easily on foot.

The cleanliness of the room could be improved slightly. Overall, it didn't meet our expectations for a hotel in this price range.

loved the super clean rooms and the historic location close to all the attractions. the southern hotels revitalizing wash was a standout - even though it was empty at first. the staff were very professional and the servers at the restaurant were high quality. being poolside and enjoying the delicious food was a real treat.

The fantastic dinner experience at the hotel restaurant made up for the slow elevators and initial room issues. Andrew, the host, provided exceptional service and even comp’d our appetizers when we mentioned the elevator problem. The comfortable beds, clean room, and great downtown view added to a pleasant stay. The valet service was efficient, but unnecessary for frequent travelers. While the hotel's cleanliness left something to be desired, the sustainable toiletries in the shower were a positive addition.

The highlight of our stay was the exceptional dining experience at the hotel's restaurants. The breakfast was delicious, with a pleasant service and well-executed menu offerings. We also enjoyed a tasty lunch in the bar. The hotel's convenient location and access to amenities made our trip even more enjoyable. We especially appreciated the support from the hotel concierge and the proximity to the vibrant City Market area.

There were a few negatives during our stay. The housekeeping service was inconsistent, with our room not being made up on one of the days.

the location 🌟 was the only good thing about this hotel. Close to everything. Rooms spacious but missing some amenities. Service hit and miss. Staff rude. Breakfast terrible. Spa & pool nice.
