Great match for a couple of nights in Washington with attractive and competitive value for money. Friendly cook prepared my omelette.

Our room wasn’t ready at check-in, so we waited over an hour. It was frustrating sitting in the lobby while we heard screaming kids next door. Definitely not the relaxing getaway we hoped for.

I absolutely loved how just a short 5-minute walk brought me to the National Mall, where I could easily explore fantastic museums, the Washington Monument, and stunning memorials, making my weekend strolls truly memorable; the staff were super friendly and the breakfast was excellent, providing a perfect start to my day of exploration, but the queen size room I reserved felt smaller than I expected based on its price.

Fantastic location, just steps from the Capitol and Smithsonian museums. The room was clean and comfortable, complete with a Keurig and mini-fridge. Taxis worked well for us, though the Metro is nearby. Breakfast was good but a bit pricey. Dinner options weren’t impressive—lots of restaurants, but service was hit or miss. The key cards were a hassle; they kept deactivating. On the plus side, there’s a Starbucks and a small market in the lobby. While it could use some updates, the friendly staff made the experience better.

Perfect location for walking to all the monuments and museums. The room was super clean and comfy with great amenities like AC, a flat-screen TV, and a microwave. Enjoyed the nice fitness center and rooftop pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. On-site Starbucks and two restaurants were a big plus!

Temperature control worked fine, though it could get noisy; we could hear toilets flushing from above. The TV had issues, with inconsistent volume across channels and some distortion. Housekeeping was a bit lacking; we had to request extra towels and were unaware of the request system. The Starbucks in the hotel was a nice touch, offering free bread in the early morning.

The location is unbeatable—walking distance to museums and the Metro! The rooftop pool is a lovely spot to unwind after a day of exploring, and the staff treats you like family.

Just a heads up, the train next door loves to announce its presence early in the morning.

Clean, functional room with a good layout. the location is very close to train tracks; earplugs are essential. Proximity to the National Mall is superb. Plenty to do within walking distance, yet solid eateries are scarce. The in-house restaurant is overpriced with mediocre food. Thankfully, there’s a small pizza place and a McDonald's nearby, but for a truly good meal, it’s a trek. Staff is outstanding—helpful and friendly. Amenities are decent, but the wifi struggled during the busy holiday weekend. Dinner service at the restaurant needs improvement; slow and disorganized. The manager addressed our concerns excellently, reflecting good customer service. With better training, the dining experience could shine.

The location is unbeatable, just a short stroll to the National Mall and all major attractions! I loved the breakfast each morning - it made my mornings so easy and tasty! The staff was amazing, especially Jaye at check-in who turned a little mishap into a memorable moment.

Convenient stay near major attractions

The Holiday Inn Washington Capitol offers a fantastic location close to the National Mall, making it perfect for sightseeing. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with a friendly staff. While parking costs were higher than expected, the nearby metro access and local eateries provided great convenience.

Fabulous location, fabulous experience with direct access to the National Mall and a quick stroll to both the Air Space Museum and the subway station.

Everything was amazing.
