We had a great time during our New Year stay! the breakfast and complimentary cocktail hours were a big hit. the hotel's convenient location within walking distance of the train station, oceanfront attractions like the Midway, and Balboa Park made it easy to explore the city. We also appreciated the shuttle service, especially since we were new to the area. the fact that our room was near the reception allowed us to sleep in without being disturbed.

There were a couple of downsides. the bathroom sliding door was difficult to close and open, and it seemed to catch on the carpet.

The Holiday Inn Express provided a wonderful experience. the scrambled eggs and bacon were delightful, and the cinnamon rolls were outstanding! the bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was impeccably clean. the best part of all was the convenient shuttle service to the zoo and seaside. We were able to park our car for the entire stay and didn't have to worry about driving.

The location of the hotel was perfect for my stay in downtown San Diego. It was within walking distance to the harbor, the Gaslamp District, and Petco Park. This made it so convenient to explore the area and attend a football game. Additionally, the hotel offered a shuttle service that was useful for getting around downtown and even to the airport. It was great to have this transportation option available.

One aspect that I didn't enjoy about my stay was the parking situation. the parking spaces were very narrow, making it difficult to maneuver safely.
