i had a great stay at curio collection, which truly exceeded my expectations compared to my previous visit to des moines. the king room was spacious, and the shower design was super impressive. the nearby restaurant served amazing food, making our holiday special from start to finish.

the elevator from the parking garage was out of service.

Room condition needs improvement!!! Peeling wallpaper, limited maintenance availability, and outdated HVAC systems were disappointing!!! The thin walls made noise control a losing battle, leading to an uncomfortable stay!!! Parking difficulties added to the hassle!!!

Our room was spacious with a commendable bathroom design, though the absence of room service during our stay was surprising. The room was spacious with two huge comfy beds, and it felt really bright and airy. Plus, the bathroom was impressively large! I loved the decor, very charming overall. The shower pressure was strong, and the blackout curtains did a great job of keeping it dark. The only downside? A safe would have been nice, but it was a good value for the price. If you’re into historic vibes, this place nails it!

We had a great time at the hotel, especially enjoying the classy vibe it offered. The lobby was incredible and took us back in time, connecting to everything downtown through the skywalk.
