I recently stayed at Monarch Valley Inn for a quick overnight trip. The manager's warm and welcoming attitude made me feel relaxed and safe. Conveniently, there was a mini market and gas station on the property. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed surprisingly comfortable. a pleasant and affordable stay.

Thin walls meant that I could hear noises from the next room, even at late hours. The phone didn't have a dial tone, despite attempts to fix it.

The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding areas like Monterey and Santa Cruz. The hotel was reasonably priced and in a quiet location. I loved the wood floors in the room, as they gave it a clean and modern feel. Having a refrigerator and microwave in the room was a great convenience. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was fantastic. I also liked having a 7 Eleven on-site for any last-minute needs.

Large room, comfortable bed & pillows, good TV channels, ample parking, nice grounds, short distance to Monterey.

The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and provided great local information. the king bedroom was clean and spacious, offering a comfortable stay. the WiFi worked well and the breakfast had a decent variety of options, including fresh blueberries. the location was great, close to Monterey without the high prices, and there was a gas station nearby for convenience.

There was no pool, so if that's important to you, this may not be the best choice. Additionally, the presence of pigeons outside was a bit bothersome, as they flew in and out and left their droppings.

We had a great stay at the HJ in Marina. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was quieter than the main tourist spots, which we appreciated. The staff was excellent, providing us with helpful recommendations and making us feel welcome. The breakfast selection was tremendous, offering lots of tasty options despite the limited space. it was a tremendous value for money, and we would definitely stay there again.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. the check, in process was smooth and the male manager was super nice. the room was clean and had all the amenities I needed, including a refrigerator and microwave. the location was also convenient, close to beaches, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Santa Cruz. Plus, having a 7 Eleven on, site was really convenient for any last, minute needs. a great experience!

The only downside was the nearby gas station. It was a bit run, down and there was constant traffic, which made walking through the parking lot a little challenging.

I recently stayed at Monarch Valley Inn in Marina for a quick business trip. My stay was for two nights and I must say, it was a pleasant experience. The owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating, even offering us a backup room from her personal quarters. The inclusive breakfast was the best I had in the US, with a variety of choices from cornflakes and toasts to bagels with jams, cheese, sausages, and boiled eggs. The rooms were clean and the staff, including the attendants and maids, were attentive and sweet. Sarah, in particular, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, even mailing back something we left behind.

Despite the great experience overall, I would recommend this hotel for a few reasons. the location is not the best, being next to a garage with constant passerby's, making me feel a bit vulnerable.

The staff were super friendly and gave us amazing restaurant recommendations. The room was clean and cozy with a fridge and microwave. The location is great, surrounded by fast food places, a cafe, and restaurants. There are also chain stores and a Walmart nearby for snacks or a beach picnic.

We even had a housekeeper check on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
