The outdoor pool area was a nice retreat, and staff offered fantastic local tips for scenic drives that made my trip memorable. However, the breakfast selection was quite basic with limited options each morning.

Room 221 was as quiet as a church mouse! Me and my partner really loved how clean it was. Breakfast was delightful both mornings, bless their hearts! The only hiccup was a pesky light shining in all night. Woulda been nice to have them fancy blackout curtains. Wouldn’t mind comin’ back for another stay!

For the price, this Howard Johnson was pleasantly adequate. The room was spacious, clean, and featured a jacuzzi tub, which added a nice touch. While breakfast options were basic, the staff's friendliness and local recommendations made for a pleasant experience. A bit of maintenance could improve the overall feel.

For a better breakfast experience, consider arriving early as items may run low later. fresh coffee and pastries were appreciated yet limited.

great spots for walking and local dining nearby

During my stay, I loved that i was just a short stroll away from the beautiful boardman river boardwalk and also found some great local eateries like the cottage just a few steps away, making my weekend exploration super enjoyable. while the breakfast was a bit on the basic side, the staff was really friendly and made my stay cozy and welcome.

The Queen Room with Two Queen Beds was spacious and well-kept, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. The breakfast offered a pleasant variety of cold items, including yogurt and granola bars, and was enjoyed outdoors in a charming area. However, the arrival process was less than smooth, with a considerable wait for rooms to be ready, and there were noticeable issues with maintenance in some areas, such as the hot tub flooring and wobbly bathroom fixtures.

The staff were friendly and tried to help when I had some issues with the shower curtain missing they took care of it after I called. Also the location was pretty decent and near some good spots for meals so that's a plus.

It wasn't cheap either but you make do.

Our arrival was frustrating as the room wasn't ready, despite it being two hours past check-in. We had to wait nearly 45 minutes in the lobby, which was disappointing given our dinner plans. Additionally, the breakfast options were lacking. both mornings offered very little variety, and I noticed a significant decline in quality and stock available.

The beds were super comfy, and the pool area was a nice spot to unwind. We checked out Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf for some fun and spent time at the Great Lakes Children's Museum. The continental breakfast was just enough to start our day, and it was easy to get around!

The check-in process could use some improvement, as we received confusing information regarding amenities. Just a heads-up for future guests to double-check the details.

The location was lovely and the room was clean. The king bed was a highlight, but my dreams were a bit interrupted by the absolute firmness of that mattress!

The breakfast was a bit of a letdown—those bagels were more like hockey pucks! Also, I pondered if the stair workout was part of the hotel’s secret fitness program.

The pool area was beautifully maintained, enhancing relaxation after a day of exploring.

The steep metallic stairs could be hazardous for those with mobility issues!!! The odd room layout with no window or secondary escape route is concerning!!! Increased winter rates aren't justified by the amenities, which are just average!!!

This place suits me perfectly! The Wi-Fi is great, there's free parking, and the 24-hour reception is super helpful. On my first stay, staff gave me taxi tips, which I really appreciated. I’m definitely coming back for a holiday!
