I had an amazing stay at this hostel. The staff was incredibly friendly and down to earth. The cleanliness of the property was exceptional, with plenty of showers and bathrooms that were always kept clean. The hostel had great shared living spaces both inside and outside. The location was perfect, with a trolley stop close by and the French Quarter within a 1.5 mile walk. The hostel also had fantastic facilities, including a refreshing pool to relax in during hot summer days. The affordable price and spacious private room with cold AC made my stay even better. The staff was also very helpful, allowing me to store my bag after check-out so I could explore the city a bit more. I had a fantastic experience and would definitely return.

Close to main canal tramway for easy access to downtown. Friendly and respectful staff, with a great common area for socializing. Enjoyed having a piano and watching movies with fellow travelers. Convenient location near Whole Foods grocery store.

Had a lovely time during our romantic escape in this cozy place. the staff was really friendly and welcoming. the location was perfect, with a tram stop nearby for easy access to key attractions. the home-cooked meals were a highlight, delicious and great value.

On the downside, the rooms lacked certain amenities like a TV, chair, and fridge. the noise from the social area could be disruptive, as there were no designated quiet hours.

The staff was lovely and professional, the room was newly refurbished and fantastic, away from noise, the swimming pool was a godsend, and the Creole dishes were awesome!

One of the downsides of the hostel was the staff. Unlike other hostels I've stayed in, the staff here weren't particularly welcoming or helpful.

I recently stayed at India House and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and gave a thorough tour of the facilities upon arrival. The private room I stayed in was spacious and the bathroom was perfect. The communal areas were great for meeting new people and making plans for the evening. The outdoor space and pool were a highlight, and the staff made sure everyone felt included and part of the family. I couldn't dream of staying anywhere else when I return to the city.

The staff was incredibly helpful and honest, going above and beyond to assist us, including returning a misplaced camera. We were also pleasantly surprised by the low noise level, despite some guests staying up late and drinking. We slept close to the common space and never heard a peep during the night. Additionally, the hotel's location was ideal, right on the tram line and so close to downtown. Transportation was a breeze, and we had easy access to explore the city.
