During my stay, I found it easy to explore nearby restaurants that were just a short walk away, such as the Fujiyama Japanese Steakhouse only a few steps away and Bob Evans just down the street, plus a couple of shopping options and a gas station right next door to grab necessities, making it perfect for those who love walking around new places and soaking in the local culture but some areas within the hotel could use a deeper clean to enhance the overall experience.

Location is a strong point—easy access to the highway and close to dining options. Staff members across all shifts are friendly, welcoming, and engaged. The updated lobby and rooms boast nice decor, and the beds deliver comfort. Breakfast was adequate, though improvements are necessary. A more diverse menu with adequate supplies is essential, especially considering the hotel’s full capacity. Cleanliness requires urgent attention; carpets need steam cleaning to address the pervasive odor. Noise from the hallways and outside was disruptive, particularly from the breakfast area. The need for better soundproofing is clear. Despite these issues, I appreciate the staff's effort and look forward to seeing improvements on my next visit.

From the moment I stepped in, I felt the warm vibes wrap around me like a hug! The heated indoor pool was my personal paradise—perfect for a chill day. Plus, the breakfast spread? Absolutely delicious and the perfect start to each morning!

Comfortable stay with great amenities

La Quinta Inn & Suites near New River Gorge offers spacious suites with a king bed and double glass doors separating the living area. The hot buffet breakfast was a satisfying start to the day, and the indoor pool adds to the comfort of the stay.

The location is fantastic, especially for accessing the nearby golf course. The noise from the entrance was quite bothersome, especially in the mornings.

The hot breakfast was a highlight, fueling us for the day. check-in was frustrating; the front desk was often unattended, and the staff seemed indifferent. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, but definitely needed better cleaning—hair and spills were unfortunate surprises. I also struggled with noisy surroundings and had trouble with the checkout time mix-up. Amenities like the pool were appealing, yet reliability seemed to falter at key moments. A mixed bag with potential, but execution fell short.

The room was spacious and well-appointed, featuring two queen beds that were incredibly comfortable. The temperature control worked effectively, but the AC unit was quite loud. I appreciated the amenities like a fridge, microwave, and both a Keurig and regular coffee maker. The cleanliness of the room stood out, with crisp sheets and towels. The breakfast area was clean and welcoming, with a decent selection. noise from young people in the parking lot was distracting. The carpets needed attention, and the chair was worn out. Staff were polite, but one kitchen attendant seemed unapproachable.

After a long day of hiking, we asked for extra towels, only to be told they only replenish them every three days. With four of us and no space to dry them, it felt completely unreasonable and frustrating.

Close to great places to eat and cozy spots to explore. The room was comfy and all the essentials were there.

It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but worth it overall.
