My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa for 3 nights. We were blown away by the level of comfort and cleanliness in our room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the cleaning staff made sure our room was spotless with twice-daily cleanings. The ocean view from our room was breathtaking, and we even spotted a whale breaching thanks to the complementary binoculars! The WiFi was super fast, perfect for staying connected while on vacation. The hotel also had a great restaurant and cafe, offering delicious meals and drinks. The location was central, making it easy for us to explore the area. Above all, the staff made our stay memorable. The front desk staff, especially Max, were so friendly and informative, and they even extended our stay by one more night at no extra cost, despite prices increasing that day. They also agreed to our request for a late checkout. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I recently stayed at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa for a week-long vacation. The hotel's location was perfect, just a short walk away from the main tourist street but still secluded enough for a peaceful stay. The staff was exceptional, especially the concierge who provided excellent recommendations and arranged a free shuttle service to local restaurants. Our room had breathtaking views of the bay, allowing us to enjoy watching the seas and otters with the binoculars provided.

The rooms at Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa are elegantly furnished with Biedermeier-style furniture and European duvet bed coverings. The breathtaking views of the bay from the room were truly remarkable, offering a calming and picturesque backdrop for relaxation. the intimate terrace provided a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the oceanfront ambiance.

The room overlooking the bay had a minor issue, as there was a leak on the balcony that prevented us from fully enjoying the outdoor space.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The value for my money was excellent and the room was so comfortable and relaxing. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the Pier, the Aquarium, and downtown. The staff treated me with such friendliness and professionalism, making me feel truly welcomed throughout my stay.

The hotel breakfast menu could have been improved if there were more table-and-chairs groupings in the lower level lobby. It would have been nice to have a designated area where guests could play card games or Scrabble instead of just the bar.

Staying at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa during my transit in Monterey was a delightful experience. The convenient location, just 95 km from Morgan Hill Caltrain and 10 km from Monterey Peninsula, made it a perfect stopover. The luxurious accommodations and breathtaking ocean views provided a welcoming retreat, while the top-tier dining and European Vista Blue Spa added a touch of indulgence to my stay.

The heavy traffic during the afternoon was a minor inconvenience, but the hotel's central location and the ability to walk to most attractions easily mitigated this issue.

The view from our room was spectacular, with the sea otters and seal lions just a close distance away. the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to meet our expectations, making us feel safe and welcomed. One thing we really appreciated was the attention to detail in the room, with binoculars provided so we could enjoy the wildlife up close.

Our stay was marred by the noise disturbance early in the morning. We were awakened by loud hammering above our room at 7:30 am, which greatly upset us as it was our anniversary and we were looking forward to a relaxing sleep-in.

The front desk and valet staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The location of the hotel was perfect, with beautiful views of Monterey Bay. The multiple decks provided a great vantage point to watch the wildlife, including seals and otters. I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Monterey.
