The owners were friendly and went above and beyond! Free breakfast with lots of choices. Clean rooms with fridge/freezer. Playground, fire pit, corn hole game, DVD player. Centrally located for easy access to sights.

We stayed at Mountain View Lodge for a weekend getaway in the beautiful Black Hills. The hotel was conveniently located near all the attractions we wanted to visit, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the soundproofing was impressive - we couldn't hear any noise from the highway or the neighboring rooms. The outdoor patio with the fire pit was a great place to relax and take in the views. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for a peaceful hideaway in the Black Hills.

Love, love, love! This is the best place for the best price with the perfect location for us! Cannot be beat and we have stayed in MANY locations around the hills. New owners were super nice! We plan our trips on a budget and Mountain View Lodge allows us to make trips to the hills financially feasible for us. Beds are soo comfortable after a long day of hiking trails. Always clean rooms with plenty of hot water for a relaxing shower. Nice, quick, little grab and go breakfast. Perfect location with easy access to Spearfish, Deadwood or Rapid City. Nice cabin feel, nice touches of home, friendly staff. Loved that they had a Keurig in the room and not the tiny coffee pot with awful coffee offered by most places. Very convenient to all the attractions and towns. A true hidden gem nestled in the beautiful Black Hills. The staff/owners were excellent and accommodating and the hotel was very clean. There was a nice seating area with a fire pit on the large deck which made for a nice relaxing time to sit and take in the views.

The staff at this log cabin-style hotel was wonderful. The central location made it convenient to visit Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, Rapid City, and more. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had a Keurig coffee maker and plenty of towels and amenities. The continental cold breakfast was tasty, and the absence of telephones in the room was fantastic.

The family room was very comfortable and clean. The owner was accommodating and the breakfast was good. The terrace was a great place to enjoy breakfast and relax in the evening. The location was convenient for visiting Custer State Park and Rushmore.
