Amazing access to restaurants and breathtaking ocean views!

This resort offers an incredible experience, as it's just a few minutes' walk to some of the best restaurants in Kona and the stunning ocean is right at your doorstep; the spacious and clean rooms feature beautiful ocean views, and the on-site amenities are a nice touch, including a pool and a lovely lobby. The only downside is the limited bed options for larger families, but the staff is very helpful and accommodating.

Unbeatable location. Stunning sunset views from the balcony. Don's Mai Tai bar is a must—perfect for any time of day. The room was spacious and comfortable, especially enjoyed the lagoon and luau experiences. service needs significant improvement. Encountered rude staff, a broken elevator, and delayed responses from lost and found. Parking was a hassle, limited spots available. The noise from fellow guests marred the experience, particularly during concert weekends. Renovations made the lagoon less inviting. The property simply needs updates to meet expectations at this price point. With the right adjustments, this place could shine again. Until then, consider other options.

Stunning views and chill vibes

Loved the close proximity to the water and all the spots to relax, whether in the shade or sun. The water dispenser was a neat touch! Parking was a hassle, and the room was a bit dated. We didn't get the bed setup we asked for either, which was a bummer.

Just an appropriate option for a speedy visit in Kailua-Kona with great value for money. The pool is perfect.

The views were incredible; we watched fish swimming from our balcony while catching glimpses of the luau entertainment below. The location made it easy to explore shops and restaurants on Coconut Grove, perfect for a stroll along Ali'i Drive. the room was a letdown—poor lighting, awkward plug placements, and pillows that felt subpar for the price. For the amount paid, I’d consider other options next time, especially since I didn’t get the full ocean view I thought I booked.

My 3-night stay at Royal Kona Resort was pleasant. Room was clean, balcony offered a nice view, and staff were friendly. Pricey with some issues, but renovations underway. Love the convenient location and enjoyed walking to Coconut Grove. Would consider staying again.

Oceanfront rooms are amazing. Balconies for coffee and chats are perfect. Super close to shops and restaurants on Ali'i Drive. The lagoon is safe for swimming with tropical fish. Restaurant staff are friendly. Minimal renovation noise. Great views at the bar. Spa offers yoga classes and massages. Air conditioning, fridge, and private bathrooms add comfort.

The oceanfront view was fantastic.

The location and view are absolutely breathtaking! I loved lounging in the saltwater lagoon and soaking up the sun. The staff were incredibly friendly and quick to help, making our stay even better!
