The level of customer service at The Berkeley was outstanding. Despite a disruptive incident, the staff handled it promptly and professionally. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bar/restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at this place. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made my experience even more enjoyable. The room was perfect - it was spacious, comfortable, and had all the amenities I needed. The bed was cozy, the bathroom was big and the water pressure in the shower was great. Plus, the hotel was located in a beautiful area with plenty to do right in downtown. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The only downside was that the hotel is situated on an old cobblestone street, which made me a little nervous about driving my car. However, the hotel offered valet parking for an additional fee, so I was able to have my car brought to a more convenient location nearby.

I recently stayed at a hotel in a beautiful area that had a lot to do. It was located right in the downtown district, which made it convenient for me to get around to my destinations, including the Courthouse where I needed to be. The staff, from check-in to check-out, were friendly and accommodating. The room amenities were great, including the sitting area and in-room safe. The onsite restaurant and bar/lounge area were also a plus.

I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay without breakings the bank.

Stayed at The Berkeley hotel for the Junior Olympics and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were tasteful and relaxing, with a fantastic view from the roof terrace. The staff was kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The size of the room was perfect, with a comfortable bed and a separate bathroom area. This hotel is located in a charming area of downtown. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants and bars just nearby, making it a perfect location for those wanting to be close to the Richmond action. The spacious and clean rooms are comfortable, and the staff were the nicest and most helpful. The menu for breakfast was varied, and the food was quite good.

The hotel dining and public space is starting to look a bit run down.

We also enjoyed the option to bring our dog along, even though it came at an additional cost. a delightful stay with plenty of nearby cafes and restaurants.

Great location in Shockoe Bottom, within walking distance of restaurants and the Canal. The Berkeley is a smaller European style hotel with friendly and helpful employees. The restaurant, with a limited menu, provides excellent food and service. The room was very clean and good value. I plan to book again when I return to the area.

During my Xmas stay, I was impressed by the quality of the complementary hot chocolate and cookies offered in the lobby. the free shuttle service to the nearby shopping center was a great convenience. the hotel's location near restaurants and the highway made it easy to get around and explore the area. the staff was friendly and provided excellent service.

The noise from the nearby road was a disturbance and made it difficult to sleep at night. the walls were thin and I could hear conversations in neighboring rooms.
