Impressive historical ambiance throughout the hotel.

During my stay, I encountered several disappointments that overshadowed the hotel's charm. My room felt quite outdated and the bed was extremely hard, making it uncomfortable to get a good night's sleep. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, as certain areas seemed dingy and rushed. It’s sad when such a beautiful historic hotel doesn't quite meet the standards one hopes for.

The 1886 café's brunch offerings were nothing short of delightful, especially the Texas-sized waffles! I felt utterly relaxed in the tastefully remodeled Landmark Suite with a breathtaking balcony view. Plus, the holiday decorations added a warm, festive ambiance that made the stay truly memorable.

Staying here is a delightful experience! The historic charm radiates throughout, especially in the elegantly decorated lobby, complete with a beautiful Christmas tree. The food at the 1886 Café is a must, notably the Texas waffle. The location couldn't be better, allowing easy access to downtown nightlife and entertainment options.

The bar was lively with a great atmosphere, but I

had a tough time finding a seat due to the crowd. The drinks were unique and well-crafted, which made it worth the wait. However, I noticed the staff was a bit overwhelmed during peak hours. Overall, it was a charming place to unwind after a long day exploring Austin.

Loved the stunning high ceilings,, clean rooms and super-friendly staff. The lobby was spacious and beautifully designed, making it a great spot to chill before heading out. The location is also prime for exploring Austin!

I stayed here for a weekend to explore the vibrant local scene, and I was pleasantly surprised by the charm this place carries. The room featured beautiful high ceilings and offered a spacious layout that made my stay comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the delightful offerings at the on-site restaurant, especially the Texas-sized waffles during breakfast. Additionally, being just a short walk from attractions like the O Henry Museum was a real bonus.

The atmosphere inside this historic hotel is stunning, full of beautiful architecture. Service was excellent everywhere we went. We were frustrated by a long wait for breakfast and felt overlooked during our meal. Live music added a nice touch to our evening, though.

The staff were heaps friendly, especially Eric at check-in, but the shower was way too tiny for anyone tall. Chur for the comfy room though!

great staff and historical feel made the stay worth it! really enjoyed the clean and spacious lobby, nice lounge areas too. breakfast was solid, even if a bit busy!

Valet parking was seamless and staff gracious. The location made navigating Austin a breeze, with nearby attractions within easy reach. Enjoyed great service in the coffee shop and fantastic meals in the restaurant.

Rooms could be improved for better sound insulation, and the evening dining space was a bit cramped, which might not suit everyone.
