We had a wonderful stay at a recently renovated boutique hotel. The design was attractive and the room was modern, clean, and spacious. The bed and linens were top-notch. The hotel is located in a quiet area, perfect for a peaceful night's sleep. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from check-in. The location was great, within walking distance to restaurants, entertainment, and the waterfront.

One drawback was the lack of a proper breakfast option, even though there was a restaurant on-site. Additionally, there was only one chair in our spacious room, which was a bit inconvenient.

During our stay at The Francis, we enjoyed the perfect location in Portland, allowing us to easily explore the city on foot. The hotel is situated in the West End, which provided a peaceful and quiet environment. Additionally, the staff was incredibly helpful and communicated with us via text, ensuring our needs were met throughout our stay.

One specific situation that stood out to us was the issue of noise from the lower floor. Although we were warned about potential noise from the restaurant below, we were assured it would end by 10 pm.

During our Christmas stay, we were impressed with the comfortable beds and modern decor of the hotel. We also appreciated the convenience of having a mini-split system instead of a noisy heat fan. The location was key, being situated across the street from a popular spot called Tandem. Additionally, the friendly staff provided a warm and cozy atmosphere, with a fire going in the common space.

One downside was the distance from downtown and waterfront areas, requiring some navigation through Portland. We were also disappointed that the hotel's restaurant was closed during our visit, although we had heard great reviews about it.

The staff is welcoming and helpful, promptly providing all the amenities and services required, such as ice and parking. The rooms are cozy, bright, well-equipped, and kept immaculately clean throughout the stay. Treats such as local wine and snacks are complimentary, making the experience even more enjoyable.
