As a tourist, I really appreciated the friendly staff, attention to detail, and thoughtful amenities at this hotel. The little touches like a nightlight in the bathroom and real plates and cutlery at breakfast made a big difference. The breakfast itself was delicious, with great bread and the best yogurt I've ever had in the USA. The location in the Hayes Valley neighborhood was also a major plus, with plenty of great cafes and coffee shops within walking distance.
