our stay in tambor was even better than before. barcelo exceeded our expectations with amazing food, fantastic customer service, and a beautiful beach. we enjoyed the variety of activities, clean rooms, and the stunning gardens. it truly felt like a tropical oasis in the dry season.

Toilet issue stressed us out.

The hotel charges for Wi-Fi and the food quality is not the best. There were some issues with the room keys constantly decoding and only one towel provided for a room of four guests.

I had a fantastic stay at Barcelo in Tambor! The beautiful Tambor bay and beach were unspoiled and scenic, perfect for a relaxing vacation. The hotel facilities were well-designed and the grounds were beautifully landscaped. The food was delicious, especially considering it was a mass tourism establishment. One unique advantage was the small airport next to the hotel, offering convenient avionette connections to SJO airport. I also enjoyed the option to book exciting day excursions, such as snorkeling at Tortuga Island or visiting the Caño Natural Reserve. a great place to vacation at a reasonable price!

The rooms were comfortable and quiet, the gym and butterfly sanctuary were cool, and the beach was nice. We also enjoyed the convenience of having lots of sunbeds at both the pool and beach. Additionally, the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was available and there were regular avionette connections to the airport nearby. We highly recommend booking excursions to Tortuga Island and the Caño Natural Reserve.
