With activities for all ages, from exploring the nearby river to taking in the stunning vista views, there is something for everyone. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with well-maintained bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. The delicious buffet-style breakfast includes local specialties like fresh eggs and homemade bread. The lodge's beautiful garden attracts a variety of birds, making it a peaceful and serene retreat.

This hidden gem was perfect for a quick business trip. the location was captivating; surrounded by farms overlooking a breathtaking valley. the hotel staff provided us with great directions and recommendations for nearby activities. We enjoyed a 2-hour cheese-making tour at a nearby artisanal farm, and stocked up on delicious ultra-fresh cheese. the hotel's 3km trails and garden walk were a peaceful way to start our mornings. the cozy communal fireplace added to the overall atmosphere.

Although the hotel offered delicious dinners, the menu was very limited, and an hour advance order required. the mildewed bathroom floors were a bit off-putting, and the unheated rooms were quite cold.

I was thrilled to stay at Guayabo Lodge during my recent trip to Santa Cruz. The lodge's location amidst the lush mountains provided a serene and beautiful atmosphere. The Mountain Suite that I stayed in had breathtaking views of the Turrialba valley and was equipped with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The gardens surrounding the lodge were filled with a variety of vibrant birds and butterflies, creating a truly enchanting experience. I also had the opportunity to visit nearby attractions such as Guayabo National Monument and Irazu Volcano, which were easily accessible from the lodge. The owners, Rosanna and Pedro, were extremely accommodating and provided us with excellent tips and suggestions for exploring the area. Additionally, the lodge offered meals delivered to our room, which were not only delicious but also reasonably priced. Despite the spotty WiFi, which may have been due to the rain, the overall experience at Guayabo Lodge was exceptional. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone seeking a serene and comfortable retreat in Santa Cruz. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

I recently had a great stay at a hotel tucked away in the lush mountains of Costa Rica. The location was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views overlooking the city below.
