Stayed at Hotel Marielos for six nights and absolutely loved it. The property was beautiful, well-maintained, and just a minute away from the beach, a supermarket, and a surf school. The staff and owner were outstanding, sending us a huge bowl of fruit upon arrival. The grounds had gorgeous blooming trees and well-kept gardens. We enjoyed watching howler monkeys and other wildlife on the property. one of our favorite places to stay during our two-month tour. Will treasure the memories.

The hotel is tucked away in a serene green zone, surrounded by nature. I enjoyed waking up to the gentle clacking of hens and the sight of beautiful bouganvilleas. The rustic-style bungalows give an authentic rural Costa Rican experience. The room was private and secure with a latch that provided extra peace of mind. The aircon and shower worked perfectly, and the room was always clean. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk away from the breathtaking beach and a variety of great restaurants, shops, and nightlife. I also appreciated the communal kitchen, which allowed me to save some money. The staff, especially Jose and Cezar, were friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again!

The property was surrounded by greenery and even had wildlife sightings. a pleasant experience with a satisfying breakfast and a common kitchen for cooking.

Kitchen access available. Lovely greenery on the property, with opportunities to spot local wildlife like iguanas, squirrels, and monkeys. Convenient parking inside the gated entrance. Managed by a local Costa Rican woman. a pleasant and safe stay.

We had a wonderful time at a warm and friendly hotel owned by a life-long Costa Rican. The location was unreal, just across the street from the beach. Everything was within walking distance - great restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. The hotel was well-maintained and very safe. We even got to see troops of monkeys in the trees.
