We had an absolutely amazing time at this guesthouse. From the beautiful landscaping with lots of flowers to the quaint and clean rooms, everything was perfect. the owners, Marise and Pierre, were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Pierre even took us on an unforgettable tour of Cahuita National Park and Punta Uva, where we saw a wide variety of animals. the swimming pool was lovely, and the beach just across the road was perfect for swimming. the location of the guesthouse was great, with good restaurants and Bridgets Breakfastn nearby.

As a satisfied hotel guest at Playa Negra, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location allowed for easy access to Cahuita, with just a short 10-minute walk. The peaceful atmosphere made for a restful night's sleep, and the beautiful pool and garden were absolutely amazing. The rooms, although simple, were impeccably clean and even had a TV with Netflix for entertainment during rainy days. The proximity to the stunning beaches in the national park was another highlight, making it convenient to explore and enjoy the natural beauty.

I had a wonderful time at this guesthouse. the property is well maintained with beautiful grounds that offer fantastic wildlife viewing opportunities. During my stay, I saw Costa Rican frogs, iguanas, hummingbirds, and even toucans without having to leave the premises. the owners were kind and helpful, and Pierre took us on two amazing day tours to Cahuita National Park and Punta Uva, where we spotted a variety of animals. the swimming pool was a nice addition, and the beach just across the road was perfect for swimming. Cahuita itself is a charming and relaxed town, with good restaurants nearby.

We had an amazing stay at this guesthouse! the beautiful gardens and pool were perfect for relaxing. Marise and Pierre were incredibly welcoming and showed us so much wildlife, including agouti, poison dart frogs, sloths, crabs, iguanas. Our comfortable room had a lovely patio, and being opposite the beach allowed us to spot howler monkeys and sloths on our walk into town. the location was great, with the town of Cahuita and the National Park nearby. This unique and fabulous place exceeded our expectations!

The value for money at Playa Negra Guesthouse was excellent, with clean rooms that had thoughtful amenities like a coffee maker and extra beach towels. The location was unbeatable, just steps away from a beautiful beach and within walking distance of restaurants and the Cahuita National Park. The staff were friendly and even gave us a tour of the property, where we saw frogs, birds, and even a baby sloth!

The only thing that could have made breakfast better would be if it was included in the stay. However, the owner kindly provided recommendations for nearby breakfast options.

The well-maintained swimming pool was a great addition, and the beach just across the road provided a perfect spot for swimming. The guesthouse's location was ideal, with several good restaurants within walking distance. Additionally, the owners surprised us with a complimentary tour of the national park, which was an excellent experience. The entire stay felt like a little paradise, with a beautiful garden, abundant wildlife, and impeccable cleanliness. We will definitely return one day.
