I had a wonderful stay at a large, comfortable hotel within walking distance of Freiburg. The room was spacious with a big bathroom and a great shower. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The highlight was the excellent breakfast, although the dining area felt a bit cramped.

There were a few drawbacks. I had requested a room with an extra bed for my daughter, but instead, we were given a disabled room with no preparation for her.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices and great coffee. the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, especially when we needed two separate beds for mother and son. the upgraded room with a balcony and a penthouse view was unexpectedly comfortable. the location of the hotel was in a quiet area, which was a factor in our choice. the bus stop outside the hotel made it convenient to travel into the city.

The cleanliness was below standard and the living room area had a lingering smell of smoke. the bedding provided for our children had apparently been in a smoker's room, which was a problem for our asthmatic child.

The restaurant was also lovely, offering a great evening menu and great value. Our upgraded suite with a balcony and penthouse view was extremely comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The staff even went above and beyond to provide separate beds for my son and me, making our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's quiet location and beautiful mountain views added to the overall charm of our stay.
