Excellent Customer Service and Comfortable Stay the staff at the hotel provided fantastic customer service, promptly addressing our concerns and even upgrading our room. Despite the ongoing renovations, the comfortable rooms and professional staff made our stay enjoyable. the breakfast buffet was excellent with a good variety of choices, although a live cooking station for egg preparations would be a nice addition. Some improvement is needed in completing the modifications work without disturbing guests' stay.

Our stay at Vivanta was perfect for unwinding and relaxation. the newly renovated rooms were beautifully done, and the staff, especially Teena, was incredibly helpful with all our needs. the food and beverages were diverse and delicious, with great F&B discounts. the team, led by General Manager Peter Nirmal, was attentive and went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic experience. the modern amenities, excellent service, and delicious breakfast spread made our stay truly fabulous.

Arriving at Vivanta Mangalore Oldport Road - Formerly Known As Taj Manjarun, we were warmly greeted by the hotel's transport service, setting the tone for our serene stay in a tranquil green city. Despite ongoing renovations, the exceptional staff made our experience delightful, with courteous service and delicious meals, especially the delightful South Indian breakfast spread. the peaceful location allowed us to explore more of the riverside.

The hotel is conveniently located near the main market's which is good for shopping and exploring the city. It is also close to the railway station, making it easily accessible for travelers. Tucked away in the port area, the hotel offers a unique and peaceful setting. The river-facing rooms provide a beautiful view, and the bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. The staff is courteous and always at your service, ensuring a comfortable stay. The breakfast options are varied and delicious, with both Indian and Western choices available.

The limited options for in-room dining and the high prices for certain dishes can be a drawback for some guests.

The warm welcome by the staff, especially the lovely lady at reception and Mr Peter Nirmal, created a great first impression. The breakfast spread was enjoyable, although a live cooking station for eggs would be a nice addition. The small fitness center was a downside, as it was overcrowded and could use more space ' safety. a wonderful stay with great hospitality and dining options.

The service provided by the staff here was exceptional, from the warm greeting at check-in to the complimentary upgrade to a suite, our stay was made truly memorable by Sudheesh the Duty Manager. the staff members were very sweet and courteous, making up for any facility deficiencies. the food and hospitality were superb, especially the south Indian breakfast spread. the hotel's central location allowed easy access to various places to visit in Mangalore city.

One thing to improve upon could be the room amenities, like providing slippers, a shaving kit, and ensuring all room facilities are in working order to enhance guests' comfort during their stay. addressing any noise disturbances from housekeeping staff or ensuring unused linen is removed promptly can further enhance the guest experience.

The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was outstanding, thanks to the hardworking cleaning crew. The hotel has a reasonable tariff for a Taj property, making it a great value for money. I highly recommend staying at The Gateway Hotel Old Port Road for a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
