The hotel refused to accommodate our cancellation request during a train strike. The beds were uncomfortable and in dire need of replacement.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, right by the lake and close to the ferry station. Being able to easily access the ferry was a huge plus for exploring the city. Additionally, the staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. They always greeted us with a smile and were ready to help with any questions or concerns. One of the best aspects was the elegant breakfast room with a stunning view of the lake and ferry terminal. It was a great way to start the day.

There were a couple of negatives during our stay. The top floor rooms had windows that were too high, so we couldn't enjoy any views.

Our room at Hotel Olivedo had a breathtaking view of the lake, with a balcony where we could watch the shuttle boats coming and going. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the train station and right in front of the boats to explore other locations on the lake. Despite the rain, we had a wonderful time and would love to return. I highly recommend this hotel for its wonderful location and stunning views.

stayed in varenna before but olivedo was a game changer! the hotel's antique charm, movie-like rooms, and unreal views blew me away. the locked parking was priceless and the staff were so friendly. also, the food in the restaurant was top-notch. hands down my favorite hotel in italy!

During our Christmas stay, we really enjoyed the warm and friendly service provided by the hotel staff. They made us feel welcome throughout our entire stay. The room we stayed in had a spacious layout and offered a great view. We particularly loved the antique furnishings and the comfortable bed. Additionally, the hotel's convenient location near the ferry terminal allowed for easy exploration of the surrounding towns on the lakeside.

There were a couple of aspects that we were not entirely satisfied with. we noticed that some areas of the hotel had a lingering smell of smoke, likely due to the owner smoking outside and in the hotel.
