As a solo traveler, I loved the friendly and helpful staff, excellent facilities, and great location near Ueno Station. The hostel had a cozy cafe, clean and well-maintained toilets and showers, and a comfortable bed. The staff spoke English fluently and went out of their way to assist me during my stay. The hostel also had a respectful and quiet atmosphere, perfect for a good night's sleep. It truly exceeded my expectations, especially compared to hostels in western countries.

I felt free to seek any assistance throughout my stay and had nothing to complain about.

I recently had a great stay at this hotel. the location was fantastic, just a short walk from Ueno metro station on the Yamanote line, which was convenient for exploring the city. The rooms, although on the smaller side, were clean and had nice linen sheets. Additionally, the breakfast offered was simple but delicious, and definitely worth the price.

Modern and fresh multi-story building with a stylish common space that gives off bar/restaurant/cafe vibes. Air-conditioned rooms with clean facilities and surprisingly well soundproofed bunks. - Convenient location near Ueno Station and a Family Mart for easy breakfast access.

Small lockers next to the bed space, unable to fit much more than a laptop sideways. Potential for a wait for the shower due to limited availability in the women's dorm room.

The location of Grids Tokyo Ueno Hotel&Hostel was very convenient, right near the train station. We didn't have to worry about hauling our luggage for a long distance. Additionally, the check-in and check-out process was quick and easy, making our stay hassle-free.

It felt safe and clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly. the hostel has a modern style and the facilities were well-maintained. the common area downstairs had a trendy vibe, resembling a modern bar or cafe. the dorm rooms were surprisingly soundproof, and the lockable lockers were spacious enough to fit my laptop. the location is convenient, right across from a train station, and there is a supermarket just a short walk away. I was impressed with the level of comfort and cleanliness at this hostel.

The location of Grids Tokyo Ueno Hotel&Hostel was perfect for my stay in Tokyo. Being just a short 5-minute walk from JR Ueno station, it made navigating the city a breeze. The convenience of having the Keisei Ueno train to Narita and the Ameyoko shopping street nearby was an added bonus.

The hotel's dining area is conveniently located near the metro, making it easy to explore the city. It is also close to the Ueno train station, providing easy access to various attractions such as the zoo, parks, and museum.

The cleanliness of the shared toilets and bathrooms left much to be desired, with guests reporting a lack of sanitization and broken facilities.

I recently stayed at a family room in the hostel, and it was perfect for my family of four. The room was clean and had six beds, which was just what we needed. The best part was having our own private bathroom and toilet. The staff at the hostel were incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English. They even gave me a chance to practice my Japanese! The location was also great. We were just a few minutes away from the Metro and JR Ueno Station, making it easy to explore Tokyo and other parts of Japan. it was a perfect starting point for our trip.
