The staff, especially a young man who spoke English, were excellent and very helpful. The room was spacious and offered beautiful views. The hotel provided amenities such as yukatas, towels, and onsen facilities. The location near JR Oboke station made it convenient for exploring the Iya Valley region. The hotel also offered free pickup service from the station and a shuttle service back. The hotel is closest to outdoor adventure sites and has a stunning view of the valley. The onsen facilities were great, and the full course dinner showcased regional delicacies.

The hotel's cleanliness, facilities, transportation, and location for our party, who were impressed with the spectacular scenery and quality of bars, restaurants. The hotel was not too far from the train station, making it convenient for us to explore this area and the Peak District. The staff were friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service. The indoor mineral hot spring was actually quite enjoyable, and the staff were surprisingly helpful - if only they could do something about the WiFi situation.

The WiFi was only available in the lobby. How dare they expect me to leave the comfort of my room for a decent connection!

The riverfront location was perfect and the staff were exceptional, sending a van to pick me up from the Rail Station. The rooms were clean, well-appointed, and larger than expected. The bathing facilities were wonderful with additional amenities provided. a great experience in a unique location.

The view over the gorge at Sunriver Oboke was absolutely breathtaking. It was a stunning sight to wake up to every morning. Additionally, the open bath with a view of the mountain and river was a true highlight of our stay. We enjoyed a relaxing soak while taking in the beautiful scenery. The location of the hotel was also convenient, with easy parking available. The staff was friendly and accommodated our request for a tatami room instead of a western-style room. despite a few minor drawbacks, I would highly recommend this hotel for its stunning views and excellent amenities.

We took a risk and booked Sunriver Oboke, despite mixed reviews, and we were pleasantly surprised. the hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. the onsen was fantastic with both indoor and outdoor baths, as well as a sauna. the staff were friendly and spoke good English. the rooms were spacious, clean, and had a traditional Japanese feel. the location of the hotel was stunning, with a beautiful river flowing beside it. We also appreciated the complimentary buffet breakfast and free on-site parking.

Had a wonderful stay at Sunriver Oboke! The location and onsen baths were fantastic. Staff were friendly and spoke English. Comfortable, clean rooms. Dad loved the open air bath. Breakfast was decent, but the view from the dining room was breathtaking. One of our best stays in Japan!
