As longer term business travelers, we appreciated the peaceful and restful atmosphere of Serena Kilaguni. The open air dining room offers breathtaking views of the watering hole and Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days. The rooms also provide lovely views of the Chulyu hills. The staff at the lodge were exceptional, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The lodge's location and the presence of the watering hole attract a variety of animal species, making it a must-stay for safari enthusiasts. We also enjoyed the special New Year's Eve entertainment provided by the staff.

The staff, especially Darcos at reception, Stephen , and Daniel , were incredibly kind and made us feel like family. We were lucky enough to see a cheetah with its kill, thanks to Stephen personally taking us there. The food at the hotel was exceptional, and the rooms were spacious and immaculately clean. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

A Lovely Location with Attention to Hygiene During Dinner

During my recent stay at Kilaguni Serena, I was captivated by the stunning location. The open viewing gallery overlooking the waterhole provided a breathtaking backdrop for dining and relaxation. Not only did the balconies in the room offer the same incredible view, but the rooms were also spacious, neat, and warm. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, with their courteous and friendly demeanor. The food served was delicious, with no complaints from my side. However, during dinner, I did notice a slight issue with insects. The dim lights attracted them, and they ended up falling onto the table and into the food. It would have been great if the hotel had a solution in place to cover the food or use a net system to protect the tables. Nonetheless, this minor inconvenience was the only downside to an otherwise beautiful property.

My stay at the Kilaguni Lodge was worth every penny. The room was spacious and clean, with a stunning view of Chuyulu Range and Mount Kilimanjaro from the big terrace. The location was perfect, surrounded by mesmerizing nature. But what really stood out was the amazing staff who were always ready to assist with a big smile on their faces. I had great conversations with the kitchen chief, Daniel, and the lodge's doc, Andreas. The food was excellent and the whole ambiance of the lodge was truly amazing. Can't wait to come back again!
