I had a fantastic stay in this hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very nice. The staff at the reception were always helpful, lending me an adapter for my laptop. I loved the hot and cold water dispenser in the lobby. The location was unbeatable, right in the downtown area of this city. Being so close to Santo Domingo church was a treat, as I could hear the bells in the morning.

The value for my money at this hotel was great. The room was clean and comfortable, and I loved the French windows that opened up to a lovely terrace covered in ivy. The location of the hotel was perfect, just one block away from Santo Domingo Cathedral and close to surrounding museums. The staff were kind and helpful, answering all of my questions in English.

The breakfast experience could be improved with the addition of a refrigerator and facilities for making tea or coffee in the room. While the staff did heat water for me to make a cup of tea, it would have been more convenient to have these facilities in the room itself.

My stay at Hotel Maela was absolutely delightful! I stayed for a week on my vacation and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The hotel was spotless, with floors so clean you could eat off them. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the lively square. I loved the unique touch of the upstairs garden, perfect for some one-on-one time. The staff's limited English made me feel like I really was experiencing Mexico. The hotel's charming architecture and beautiful flowers added to the overall ambiance. And even though there was no air conditioning, the fan in the room kept me cool throughout my stay.

Spent my Easter holiday in a cozy hotel in the core of a wonderful city, perfect for sightseeing. the room was very neat and tidy, and the staff was outstandingly helpful and kind. the location was prime, close to all major attractions and good restaurants, which was very advantageous. the complementary breakfast buffet was superb, and the guided tour was thoroughly enjoyable.

The internet connection was poor in the rooms, only working best in the hallways, and there were no dishes, glasses, utensils and no facilities for making hot drinks available. I had to walk to the reception for hot water and buy my own cups and utensils, which was a little discouraging in terms of convenience.
