I had an incredible stay at a little piece of heaven called Anchorstone. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with tranquility and a calming ambience. The support from Kath, the host, was exceptional. She went above and beyond to make sure my visit was enjoyable, arranging everything from restaurant reservations to boat excursions. The cherry on top was the free use of an Anchorstone vehicle, which made exploring the area a breeze. The property itself was comfortable and well-equipped, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing getaway. I highly recommend Anchorstone for a truly splendid experience.

We stayed at a hotel during New Year's with an excellent location near all the facilities you need. the best aspects were the well-equipped room and the car rental. the room was supplied with a coffee machine, milk frother, and even homemade biscuits. We also had a lovely view of the bay and great bird songs to listen to. the car rental was conveniently close by and affordable, allowing us to go on our own little adventures around the town and surrounding areas.

There were a few minor issues, such as the late pick-up from the terminal and being rushed out of the room on checkout day. We could also hear the generator going on and off all night, which was a bit of a disturbance.

The location of the hotel is great, nestled down the valley of Horseshoe Bay, away from the main centre. The cabin was well equipped with a comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. The use of a car was a real bonus, allowing guests to explore the island and enjoy the abundant birdlife. The friendly host provided helpful information and made guests feel welcome.

The cabins are on the pricey side, but this can be expected due to the high electricity costs on the island.

We had an amazing stay at a fantastic location in the bush above Horseshoe Bay. the chalets at Database were nestled in the peaceful surroundings, surrounded by lovely huge trees. We were lucky enough to spot deer roaming around the property, and from the deck, we could see kaka and hear kiwi. the accommodation itself was very comfortable, with great amenities including a kitchen and bathroom with showers. the highlight was definitely having the use of a new Suzuki Ignis during our stay. This was essential for getting around the area and accessing the hustle and bustle of Oban city, as well as the nearby trailheads. Kath, the host, was fantastic and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. We appreciated the pick-up and drop-off airport service, as well as the late check-out. one of the best places we've ever stayed in!

The rooms were well-designed and thoughtfully decorated, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. I appreciated the amenities provided, such as the ironing facilities and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel also offered a grocery shopping service and laundry facilities, which were very convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing great suggestions on things to do and places to visit. this place exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for an enhanced level of comfort and quality services.

anchorstone was a fantastic place to rest and relax, exceeding my previous stay in half-moon bay. the hosts were friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations and delicious home baking. the cabin had a super comfy bed and a superb view, with the added joy of watching tui's outside. highly recommend and will be back!

We had a fantastic time at Anchorstone! Our 2-night stay wasn't enough, as we fell in love with the beautiful location nestled in the quiet forest. The use of a car during our stay made it easy to explore the island and enjoy the nearby town and beaches. The owner was incredibly helpful and accommodating, even letting us store our fresh catch in her freezer. The cabins were peaceful and comfortable, with spotless bathrooms and kitchens. We appreciated the extra touches like hot water bottles and delicious gingernut biscuits. Highly recommended!
