The location of this hostel was great, with stunning views of the mountains right in front and the river nearby. It was also conveniently located to explore the local area and visit various sites. The room I stayed in was basic but comfortable, and the free wifi was a plus. The friendly owners provided good service and even allowed me to update my navigator inside.

Some backpackers in the shared kitchen were noisy late at night, which can be bothersome.

The Wagon - secluded, gas-heated bath, helpful hosts, unusual touches, quaint buildings.

We loved the well-stocked kitchen, spacious lounge, and dining area with TV. The owners were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the Ahuriri valley and Lake Oahu. The bed in the double room was comfortable and the shared kitchen had everything we needed. a pleasant surprise!

I had a brilliant stay at this hotel - it was just what I needed at the time. The owners were incredibly welcoming and generous, making me feel right at home. The location was stunning, situated in the awesome area of the Lindis Pass on the hill. I loved waking up to the breathtaking views from my room, and the fact that there was a heater made it cozy and comfortable, even during chilly nights.

Shared rooms and technical facilities great. Kind host, even got upgraded. Authentic farm experience, met interesting guests and a friendly sheep. Great hot shower and comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast and homemade muffin. Wonderful stay with no pressure to engage.
