First time in Cusco and wow, what a gem! Had this suite with the most lekker views over the city. The brekkie was honestly a game-changer, proper fresh food not just that pre-cooked stuff. Chommies at the reception were super helpful. Honestly, the decor made me feel like I was in an art piece!

Just a heads up, the WiFi in the rooms was a bit dodgy, but it sorted itself out in the cafe area. No biggie!

El Balcon provides a peaceful retreat just two and a half blocks from the main square. The dining area is cozy with endless hot water and tea available. Enjoyed the delicious breakfast options, especially the pancakes. However, the chilly room temperatures at night were a slight drawback.

Cozy little spot with comfy beds that felt like clouds. The shower was gloriously hot, and they offered a lovely twist with weighted blankets. The garden was delightful for some unwinding!

But oh dear, that walk back uphill had me puffing like an asthmatic hippo! And let's not even discuss that manhole cover lurking like a gremlin.

The Twin Room with Garden View had some issues, like a broken plug point near the bed and bug bites every morning. But the gardens were lovely, and the room itself was spacious. Though the heater was needed at night, it was nice overall with the quietness, and I loved the views. Breakfast was a definite highlight!

the central garden offers a view from every room and feels like a secret oasis. there was a loud banging noise from the road, which can be annoying at times.

This place really felt like home. The breakfasts were beyond delicious, especially their pancakes! The staff was super friendly and helped us with recommendations. The only annoying thing was the thin walls – you could hear everything from next door. Still, the overall charm and comfort made up for it.
